Kim Kardashian-West back for good?

Kim Kardashian, After an extended break from social media, Mrs Kardashian-West has shared her first selfie of the year which featured her mother Kris Jenner. The 36-year-old’s three-month hiatus following the Paris robbery in October and other subsequent events, appears to have now come to an end.

Posting on Snapchat, the caption read, ‘First selfie of 2017 w my mama.’ Prior to the selfie, Kim shared a photo of her ripped jeans, captioned, ‘Torn.’

Many people have been rooting for Kim to return to the public eye but it was only going to happen when she was truly ready. Although Kim experienced what could be described as a traumatic end to last year, she has said that lessons have been learned. The Queen of the Selfies wants fans and followers to know that ‘family will forever be the most important.’
Let’s draw some cards for Kim.

Véronique’s Verdict

Kim drew the Nine of Swords, the King of Swords and the Two of Wands.

The Nine of Swords represents the latter part of 2016. The nightmare! This card has come up before for Kim and Kanye and as always, the card is read within the context of the current situation and how it pertains to the other cards in any spread. This card shows that Kim was in a dark place and personal demons seemed larger than ever. She has now confronted those demons with the love and support of loved ones and friends. Pictorially symbolic, the figure on the card is looking away and has their eyes closed. This reveals that Kim was not in a place to confront the traumatic events head on in her usual manner.

The King of Swords is Kim in this context. There is a lack of emotion revealed and a sense of intellectualizing the events of late last year. Although Kim has continued to engage with friends and loved ones she was not ready to remove the barrier between herself and the outside world keeping her metaphorical shield in place.

The Two of Wands shows measured and calm deliberation. Kim has started to find balance in her world, and by combining the masculine and feminine aspects of her personality she has obtained true power. Previous fears that once had a hold over her are weaker and therefore becoming less relevant. There is an understated passion in this card which tells us that Kim may well be considering long term options.

I would say that Kim’s return to social media will be a gradual process. Despite all that she has been through, there is no sign of fatigue as such and she is better equipped to deal with potential adversaries in her usual diplomatic manner. The swords reveal Kim’s truth, and with truth can also come pain. She will continue to strive to find the balance that she seeks and this is the first positive step towards that. Back for good? We most definitely hope so!
