Tarot Card Draw #1: Chariot
If you are dealing with a situation which you feel is out of your control and The Chariot turns up in your daily draw, it is to tell you that you have far more control than you realize. This card is stressing now is the time to step up and command what you deserve. Not DEmand, but rather COMmand. There is a big difference. Demanding something is when one, to some degree, tries to force others to their will or to make others see things in a specific way. Command is to show others what you believe you deserve by proving yourself, taking charge and standing up for yourself in a more objective way. An example, respect is earned (commanded) rather than a right (demanded). A need for objectivity is also indicated by The Chariot. You may have become a bit too close to a situation and your objectivity is blurred. The Chariot will pop up urging you to take a couple of steps back and do a thorough reassessment. This would occur when you feel as though you’ve come up against a solid brick wall when trying to solve a problem or find a solution to a financial concern. Get your thoughts and priorities in order, dig deep to find the confidence needed and move forward with a more objective view, thus being able to form a solid plan. The Chariot may also show up in your daily draw to bring your attention to some of your recent negative actions, or more importantly negative reactions. It is possible you have recently been acting in a defensive or aggressive manner in order to hide what you are truly feeling such as emotional vulnerability, insecurity, self-doubt, fear. In matters of the heart, The Chariot may be drawn by you as a signal you need to get your emotions in check lest you ruin your relationship. It is possible you have been overly emotional and a bit too demanding of your partner’s time and attention. Each of these things is a surefire recipe for relationship failure. Also, if you find that you and your partner are going through any kind of rough patch, The Chariot is there to stress the importance of open, honest communication and focused efforts at all times by each of you, even in the good times (especially in the good times). This card may also turn up warning of insecurities getting the best of one of you and must be brought under control, quickly. In a professional context, The Chariot is to tell you quite loudly that you are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit. When looking into a specific potential romantic partner and the King of Cups turns up, you are on the right track with this new person and they deserve a bit more of your time and attention as they look to be an excellent partner, good person, honest and sincere. There is one small concern though if financial security in your romantic partner is important as many people with the emotional capacity represented by this card often lack the professional drive and ambition to build a solid financial base. The King of Cups also speaks of the wisdom (not the same as knowledge), compassion and open nature of people. If you have been struggling to find more of a balance between your heart and head or maybe between work and home life and the King of Cups shows up in your daily draw, he is there to tell you to stop struggling and relax then that desired balance will seemingly come naturally. The same applies if you have been working to gain more control over your own emotions. He is also speaking of letting go of things beyond your control. This kind gentleman touches on you advancing toward a deeper level of emotional or mental maturity, as well as expanding your creative side or possibly discovering a completely new and hidden talent you never knew you had. He is also urging you to rely more on your own intuition as it is growing and developing naturally on its own. The King of Cups also represents an excellent life partner if your goal is to build a solid family unit with someone who will always be by your side, a loyal, lifelong partner. The Four of Pentacles often speaks of the dark side of money: greed, obsession, materialism, extreme tight-wad behaviors, winning at all costs. It also talks about how some people in relationships tend to become possessive of their partner, controlling or quite toxic. Generally speaking, the Four of Pentacles is all about very unhealthy hoarding or refusing to let go of the past in such a way that it has a profoundly negative affect on your present and future. It denotes a tremendous imbalance in whatever area of your life about which you are inquiring. It is also quite possible you are placing entirely too much importance on other people, things, jobs or some other situation for your own happiness. Such dependency is extremely unhealthy and will ultimately impact every aspect of your life and lead you to a thought process of never taking responsibility for yourself, your words or actions. This card stresses the need for realistic expectations of others, but more importantly it calls for solid and firm boundaries. Alternatively, you may be unknowingly putting up blocks toward your own progress or have allowed yourself to become extremely isolated and cut off from the world. That has certainly been the case for many as we are struggling through the pandemic. When it comes to love, the Four of Pentacles is not a great card to get, unfortunately. It can warn of you and/or your partner acting in a very possessive, controlling way. It also speaks of incredibly unhealthy insecurities and extreme jealousy, both of which are surefire relationship destroyers. This card also talks of how detrimental it is to hold on to past wrongs, grudges or simply refusing to let go of the past. Maybe you are often quick to bring up past negative behaviors or decisions of a romantic partner when arguing with them or a relative or friend. This is incredibly toxic not only to the relationship, but to you as a person as soon you will find that no one wants to be around you unless they absolutely have to. Finally, the Four of Pentacles could be speaking of paranoia in any area of your life, especially professionally.
