A Ritual To Attract The Right Person For You

I have written a lot about love and relationships, and not long ago I wrote an article detailing the complicated side of love magic with a target in mind. However; This is not a reason for leaving this super powerful tool aside! Keep reading to learn my technique for creating a powerful ritual to help you bring the right lover into your life.

Understanding the Ritual

The most important part of magical workings is, from my experience, understanding why you are doing what you are doing! Understanding what effects do you intend to cause with your ritual, strengthens your confidence in what you are about to do and combats the greatest enemy of magic: Doubt!

What this ritual aims is to act like a so to speak “spiritual lighthouse” that will alert others of your availability and will help guide the right person into your life. Here’s what you need and how to prepare yourself for the ritual.

Preparation

It’s best to do your magic when you are in a centered state of mind and you have prepared for this. There’s no rush to get ready for this sort of ritual, so take it easy, for it will require you to truly think about what you are asking for.

There are two different sides to prepare for this ritual. A part of the ritual will require you to take note of the characteristics that your ideal mate has for you. This is the point in which you really need to consider the non-negotiable and the can do without. For instance, I have a thing for red-heads! But when it comes to pondering what I REALLY want in a partner, being a red-head is an extra, but I prioritize other things.

Here I encourage you to think about the things that really cause trouble in a relationship. Add some characteristics that are really relevant, for instance: A man / woman / person with an open heart, emotionally available, willing to commit, monogamous (or polyamorous if that’s the case!), someone who wants children (or who doesn’t), with a high sex-drive (or low). Those are basic traits that we often don’t think about and that, when it comes to the relationship, make all the difference! So take as long as you need to come up with your list of non-negotiables before continuing.

On the selected day – if you use correspondences, ideally this could be done on a Friday with a Crescent or Full Moon, although it’s not strictly necessary – take some time to prepare. Dress up as you would for a date, which will help you get into the right state of mind, and dedicate a few minutes to meditate and get grounded and focused.

Ingredients

• One white, pink, green or red candle. (White goes for everything, pink is usually associated to romantic love, green corresponds with the Heart Chakra and red is associated to passion and love, so any of these colours will do. Pick the one you feel the most comfortable with.)
• A fresh rose.
• A clear quartz. (It would be wonderful if it could be a point with a plain base that stands on its own, but again, it’s not strictly necessary.)
• Your list with the characteristics of your ideal mate.

The Ritual

First thing you want to to is to focus your intention on the candle, for this, take your candle between your hands and hold it while you concentrate on what you are doing. This candle is going to be in essence the light of that proverbial lighthouse we spoke about! So make sure it’s filled with all that energy.

When you are ready, light the candle, and say an enchantment. You can use this one as an example or create your own:

(say the characteristics on your list)
may this light be our guide to find each other.

Then take the rose between your hands, and say an enchantment. You can use this one as an example or create your own:

I call upon my ideal partner with an open heart,
(say the characteristics on your list)
may these petals fly to find him / her / them.

When you are done, take the quartz between your hands, and say an enchantment. Again, you can use either this one or create your own:

I call upon my partner with an open heart,
(say the characteristics on your list)
may this crystal ground my calling as a safe harbour until he / she / them arrives.

Now place the quartz on top of your list and leave it there. Clear quartz is a powerful amplifier and it will help you hold your calling and your magic active.

Next, pull the petals off the rose and take them to a place with a certain height, preferably one in which you can throw petals to the four directions (A rooftop, a bridge…) and throw a few petals to each direction as if they were messengers of your calling.
