Adele Sets Fire To The Internet, Reportedly May Never Tour Again

If you have tickets to Adele’s shows in Wembley Stadium, consider yourself among the chosen ones. You may be attending one of the English singer’s final shows ever. According to reports, Adele is including a note in her tour program saying she may never tour again. In the note, the singer recalls how she’s been on the road for 15 months and traveled just about everywhere, including going through Europe, America, Australia and New Zealand. It all sounds pretty impressive. Then the tone changes when Adele seems to remember, “Oh, yeah. I hate touring.” She writes: Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn’t suit me particularly well. I’m a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things. Plus, I’m dramatic and have a terrible history of touring. Until now that is! She continues: I’ve done 119 shows and these last 4 will take me up to 123, it has been hard out an absolute thrill and pleasure to have done. I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favorite artists have had on me live.” Then she delivers the knockout punch: “I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I’ll tour again and so I want my last time to be at home.”

She posted on Instagram:
Adel letter?

??✒❤ “So, this is it after 15 months on the road and 18 months of 25 we are at the end. We have taken this tour across uk+ Ireland, throughout Europe, all over America and I finally got to go to Australia and New Zealand too. Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn’t suit me particularly well. I’m a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things. Plus, I’m dramatic and have a terrible history of touring. Until now that is! I’ve done 119 shows and these last 4 will take me up to 123, it has been hard out an absolute thrill and pleasure to have done. I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artist have had on me live. And I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home. Thank you for coming, for all of your ridiculous love and kindness. I will remember all of this for the rest of my life. Love you. Goodnight for now” ❤️Adele#Adele #Adelettes #AdeleLive2017

Leaving touring makes sense for Adele. The singer has been open about battling stage fright, reportedly telling NPR, “With my stage fright, I just don’t want to let people down.” Plus, she hasn’t seemed to enjoy her performances at the last two Grammys. Still, it is a big loss for music fans. In addition to being an amazing performer, she’s a pretty fantastic person. As Digital Spy Music points out, the singer devoted some time at her first Wembley show to help raise money for those affected by the Grenfell Tower Fire in London. Adele has three more shows scheduled at Wembley Stadium, so we’ll have to watch if a formal announcement is made.

Update:
Adele has canceled the remaining two dates of her massive world tour after damaging her vocal cords.
“To say I’m heartbroken would be a complete understatement,” Adele wrote in a Twitter statement Friday.
“I’m already maxed out on steroids and aids for my voice. I’ve considered doing Saturday night’s show but it’s highly unlikely I’d even make it through the set and I simply can’t crumble in front of you all and walk out on you in that way.”

I Don’t Believe We Will See Adele On Tour For Many Years! She Means It!!

Susan Z’s Conclusion:

Adele is pretty down to earth and has never been a star seeker, she just wanted to do her music. I am sure the touring has taken a hard emotional and physical toll on her and I feel she just wants to write her music, put her feet up and have a cup a tea enjoying her home, baby and just life in general. Now with damaged vocal cords, it is fairly certain Adel will not be touring anytime soon.

The Empress: Inverted (Upside Down)
This card is a woman who is very mothering and nurturing and usually gets what she wants. Being inverted, it supports her decision to stop touring as she feels out of her element on tour and would much rather be wife, mother and then songwriter and singer.

Eight of Cups:
This is disappointment in love and life. I also believe being on tour has caused some tension in her relationship and a shit load of guilt for not being able to be superwoman and cater to other’s needs, which she likes doing.

Seven of Wands:
This card shows being challenged and having to make a stand. This tour was tough for her and as much as she knows she will be disappointing her fans, she feels she made the right decision for herself and family.
