Former ‘Bachelor’ Star Chris Soules Arrested After Fatal Hit-And-Run

The Buchanan County Jail confirmed that Chris Soules, who starred on Season 19 of ‘The Bachelor’ was arrested the night following a fatal car crash. Iowa State Patrol stated that Soules’ pickup truck rear ended a John Deere tractor driven by 66-year-old Kenneth E. Mosher, a local farmer. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch, and the driver of the tractor was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The rear ending caused the tractor to flip over. Soules allegedly fled the scene and Mosher was taken to the hospital, where he died. He was identified by witnesses at the scene and arrested. Soules, 35, was booked on a criminal charge of leaving the scene of an accident at which death occurred which is a Class D felony that could result in up to 5 years of prison for the television personality. The Arlington, Iowa-native was given a $10,000 bond during his first court appearance. TMZ reported that Soules was not driving under the influence, but there was alcohol in his Chevy pickup truck at the time of the crash.

Chris Soules first gained attention on Andi Dorfman’s season of “The Bachelorette” in 2014. He then went on to become “The Bachelor” before competing on Season 20 of “Dancing with the Stars.” Soules had to turn in his passport because he was apparently planning to film out of the country soon for a Bachelor-related event”, presumably “Paradise”. Soules was so soft-spoken during his first appearance in front of the judge that he had to be instructed to speak louder, so the court recorder could actually hear him. Soules posted his $10,000 bond after court and was released. His rep says Chris “was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher passed away. His thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher’s family.

Will This Felony Charge Be a Career Ender for Chris Soules?

Susan Z’s Conclusion:

Sort of? Not really much of a career going on for Soules at the moment and this incident will probably not help. He just may fade into obscurity over this.

Queen of Swords:
Inverted (Upside Down)
This is a strong woman who wants straight answers. This card being inverted may suggest the victim’s wife or a prosecuting attorney as it is definitely not in Soules favor.

Eight of Cups:
This card represents disappointment in love or life. I feel this shows Soules feelings about this whole situation that in a moment of not paying attention (texting maybe?), his whole life looks like it is going down the tubes.

Two of Swords:
This card represents a stalemate and unable to make a choice. I believe this shows options given Soules to get out of this mess as in a plea bargain or such with him not knowing which road to take. I don’t see him just walking away from this without some serious repercussions in his life regardless of how good an attorney he has.
