The Last Two Living Beatles Just Reunited To Release A New Song

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have debuted a new song together, “We’re on the Road Again.” On Feb. 19, Paul McCartney visited the Los Angeles home of Ringo Starr and the two played music together. Right after the visit Ringo Starr posted on Twitter:
@ringostarrmusic

#Thanks for coming over man and playing Great bass. I love you man peace and love.

At the time, it was unclear whether Starr would eventually release anything from the session but now we don’t have to wonder. Finally, after all these months, we know the jam up actually did amount to more than just a once-in-a-blue-moon reunion of two old friends from a band. The new song that has just made its debut is a collaborative work between the two former Beatles band members. A new song, “We’re on the Road Again,” just made its debut. It’s the first official musical collaboration between the former Beatles since Starr’s 2010 song, “Walk with You.” I’m sure Beatles’ fans the world over are going crazy over the news. Its nostalgia personified!

McCartney contributes vocals to the track along with “surprisingly punk-styled bass,” as Rolling Stone described it. The Eagles’ Joe Walsh (Starr’s brother-in-law), Edgar Winter and the song’s co-writer, Toto’s Steve Lukather, are also heard on the track. The collaboration follows a tradition of songs about roads the duo previously released “The Long and Winding Road” and “Why Don’t We Do It in the Road?” along with the album “Abbey Road” with the Beatles. The new track will appear on Starr’s forthcoming 19th solo album, “Give More Love.” McCartney will also be featured on a song called “Show Me the Way.”

Beatle Fans Are Definitely Thrilled Over This New Music From These Rocker Icons!

Susan Z’s Conclusion:

We have lost so many great rocker icons in the last few months, it is wonderful to see the new music contribution from the two that are left of a group that started the first British invasion of sounds in the 60’s. When music is your love and life, you just continue to make it happen regardless of where it lands on the Top 100 Music Billboard chart.

Ten of Swords:
Inverted (Upside Down)
This is a card of severe life challenges being met. Since pulled inverted, it may represent that one of the two or both have been through some hard times and coming together in music was a feel good way to release it.

Four of Cups:

This is boredom and feeling stuck. After the many years both have been writing songs and performing, I feel this seemed to be a fresh idea not approached in awhile for them.

Nine of Cups:
Inverted, This is a wish card. Since pulled inverted, I don’t believe the collaboration of releasing a song together was something they put out there in the universe and then got it. I feel it was one of those go with the flow happenings and they both decided to run with it.
