Britney Spears has warned the Media, that if they continue to print false accusations about her, she will sue. The singer is tired of reading false accusations about her life. It follows an incident where a “In Touch” stepped over the acceptable mark. They were apparently about to publish an article portraying the singer in a very bad light. It was said they were accusing her of acting erratically at the MTV Video Awards. And talking and laughing to herself in a British accent.
Over the years Britney has had her fair share of run-ins with the media. They have watched her every move. And turned up the volume on events just to make them a lot more dramatic than they need be. If Britney Spears has proved anything, she has proved she is a normal lady. She has proved that sometimes the world is a heavy place. And so what if she spoke to herself? It’s called thinking out loud and we have all done it at some stage. Once again, totally normal. They unfortunate part is that normal doesn’t sell in some eyes.
My approach to celebrities is to understand that they are human beings just like us. The difference is they are on the world stage, and the pressure that must bring is tremendous. The Public are not very forgiving when someone falls. They expect that you will be perfect in every way when you stand on the stage. From my own point of view, I prefer to see the human face. I empathise with their stress, not through experience, but from a fellow human being point of view.
At the end of the day, Britney and many like her. Have sacrificed a lot to bring us music and lights our day. It is music that will one day define an era. But in order for her to bring this, she sacrifices a lot of privacy. Sacrificing privacy and sacrificing respect are two different things. So I would have to agree with her stance on defending her good name. We the public owe her a lot for what she has given us. Now let’s give her something back. Her respect and our thanks.
