Chris Evans Contract as Captain America Ending

It looks like all the diehard Marvel comic hero fans will have to cope with the end of Chris Evans’ tenure as Captain America. When asked about his future in the popular franchise, Chris stated “My contract is up and only have ‘Avengers’ three and four. “We do three now and four in the latter part of the year and then after that, that is the end of my contract.” Previously, Evans has said he’d be open to doing more with his superhero persona. “Avengers: Infinity War” is currently filming and the untitled fourth installment will begin production toward the end of 2017. Evans is only contracted to play Captain America for six films, meaning between his role in the “Avengers” series and “Captain America” movies, his obligations to Marvel will be over soon and he’ll be open to more roles. He does ‘Avengers 3’ now, four is the latter part of the year and after that, that is the end of Marvel contract.”

Prior to Evans confirmation, there were rumors circulating that the star-spangled superhero will die in one of the two upcoming Marvel movies. In “Captain America: Civil War,” it was speculated that Steve Rogers will meet his demise and his best friend Bucky Barnes would take over as Captain America, if the film would follow the original comic book storyline. “Avengers: Infinity War” parts 1 and 2 are expected to retire mainstays like Captain America, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). Meanwhile, Marvel has already started to introduce new superheroes who will be given more focus in the MCU such as Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Captain Marvel.

Will Chris Evans continue as Captain America after “Avengers: Infinity War”?

Susan Z’s Conclusion:

Eight of Wands Inverted (Upside Down)
This card represent how Chris Evans feels about the time he has spent in the character of Captain America. It has gone by too fast for him and he hopes that somehow to keep the momentum moving with the character in whatever capacity. I believe he will have further opportunities to play Captain America in future Marvel movies.

Ace of Wands Inverted
This card represents a gift from the universe. Being upside down, the ending of Chris Evan’s Marvel contract maybe a blessing in disguise for other opportunities of a more serious nature in his acting career and him wanting to direct.

Queen of Swords Inverted:
This card represents a woman with a strong personality and more than likely represents a female in his life that is possibly guiding and making suggestions on where his career is going. After his contract is up, he has a movie project with producer Ellen DeGeneres. She could represent this card. That could also be where his break comes into play for stronger acting parts and his desire to direct.
