American Reality TV show star Courtney Stodden has taken the unusual step of shaving off her long blonde hair. Courtney 21 said it was her way of paying respect to her Angel, referring to the baby she recently lost in a miscarriage. In 2011 Stodden received media attention after marrying a 50-year-old man when she was only 16 years old. Stodden Started her career by competing in beauty pageants, then moving on to modelling and reality TV.
Just a week after tragedy struck and she miscarried her baby, Courtney shaved her head in memory of her child. This is an issue which has affected women all over the world and each deal with it in their own way. Perhaps it was a means of taking control over something when she felt her power to control what was happening had been taken away from her. At least these days people are more considerate of the pain caused my miscarriage than they were many years ago. People losing a child to miscarriage suffer grief like a death and yet the pain is often played down into a medical condition. Let’s hope she finds peace with herself soon as she recovers from this awful ordeal.
