The Seven of Wands Tarot always shows a figure in defensive posture. Usually representing that you are in the enviable position of success, personal happiness, financial gain or finally getting or achieving what you have worked very hard to make happen. We don’t want to go so low as to say it is always jealousy of your good fortune or success, but that is something that comes into play with this card.

It is a sad fact of life, but the more visibility you have as someone who is getting what they wanted in life, in whatever area that may be, the bigger resistance there is for others wanting you to keep it. Others see your success and happiness and will either challenge your choices or actually want you to eventually fail at it. When the Seven of Wands appears, expect to see an increase in ‘haters’, trolls and people who will have something negative to say about your success and happiness. You will need to feel secure in your new position, (you earned it) or your new relationship and accept the negativity for what it is. Some people just do not like seeing other people become successful or happy when you used to be one of them, still waiting for your dreams to happen. Stand firm in your convictions so that others do not topple you from the belief in yourself deserving what you now have.

This card shows that luck is with you for the success of almost any project you would start, IF you are willing to put in the time and effort. The Seven of Wands also is reminding you to not take any radical leaps of faith, staying with a logical approach to creating your new goals. In other words, don’t quit your day job until you have everything that is needed to support yourself.

Love and Romance: If you are already in a relationship, the Seven of Wands reminds you not to forget to tell them often. This will only improve your relationship and also help when you have to speak your mind in a challenging situation with your beloved. If single, this card can indicate that you are about to meet someone new in different circumstances than your norm. Maybe, time to try a new approach to meeting perspective partners.

Money: The Seven of Wands usually always indicates an increase in finances. Whether it be an unexpected windfall, a raise or year-end bonus beyond what you thought you would get and worked very hard for. Your finances are on the upswing, so handle it like an adult and make it work for you and leave the new shoes and outfits in the store.

Health: Even when facing serious health challenges, a positive attitude can work wonders. If you suspect something is wrong with your physical well-being, insist that your health care providers check it out for you. If you are not satisfied with the answer, seek a second opinion.

Spirituality: The Seven of Wands is about dropping your defenses, facing your fears and turning them to your advantage. By doing that, you grow in personal strength, ready to address any challenge placed before you. You learn what spiritual courage is by having your worst fears put in front of you to deal with.
