Dolly Parton The 70-year-old singer and businesswoman has been married to Carl Thomas since 1966. Dolly jested that she had not been around for 47 out of the 50 years of marriage and this is what has made it last. Apparently, Dolly is a Capricorn who likes to be out and about in the spotlight and Carl is a Cancer who likes to stay home away from the public glare. She says it works out well because they have always been compatible. Dolly’s feelings for her husband have grown over the years. She maintains that there is a respect and an understanding for each other that has sustained them over the years.
