11 Feng Shui Changes for Your Home

You can find Part 1 of this post here. In it I wrote how you can bring love into your life using Feng Shui. Today I’m going to list some suggested changes from the experts to make in your home (particularly your bedroom) to help open the flow of love energy and bring romance into your life.

1. The Bagua

The Bagua (energetic floorplan) placement in Feng Shui for love is the far right corner of your bedroom as you walk in. This area should have pinks, reds, and white such as flowers, shawls, pillow, pictures, etc.

2. Create a cozy bedroom

Change your bed from a king to a queen. Make it snuggly inviting.

3. Leave room for someone else

Single people build rooms for single people and have one chair, one nightstand, etc. Add another nightstand for your future someone.” That goes for the closet too. “Don’t fill it up with your stuff, honor the space and carve out a dresser drawer or a shelf that’s not yours. You don’t need to literally have enough room for two people to live there, just leave room for opportunity.”

4. Add a splash of pink

Because it’s the color of relationships in Feng Shui, pink is one of the best colors to decorate a bedroom with as it represents love, joy, happiness and romance. It doesn’t need to be a whole room, even a splash will do. Alternatively, light blue is a positive relationship color.

5. Freshen up your bedsheets and linens

Some Feng Shui experts say that new bedsheets and linens can help freshen up stale single energy with welcoming a new partner. Come on, you know you would put fresh sheets on your bed if someone would be sleeping over. If you can, get a new bed if an old lover has slept in yours or at the very least, sage it down.

6. Place your bed in an energetic inviting position.

Do not sleep with your head under a window or have your bed in a corner and have both sides of the bed easily accessible.

7. Select your bedroom art carefully

Artworks have a profound impact on our emotions. Do not hang paintings that depict violence, sorrow, or religion (such as angels) in your bedroom because it can invoke strong emotions that’ll distract you from your sleep and bedroom romance. Instead, try to use artwork that symbolizes love, such as two lovers kissing each other as it influences your behavior and kissing is what you want to do.

8. Get rid of work in your bedroom

Some Feng Shui experts suggest that you remove work-related furniture in your bedroom because it keeps your energy bound to work. That includes laptops.

9. Remove photographs of friends and family in bedroom

Though this has more to do with modern psychology than classical Feng Shui, it is a good tip to follow. Having photographs with people’s faces, not just your friends and family, can adversely impact bringing romance into your bedroom.

10. Get rid of mirrors facing the bed

Many experts say that a mirror facing the bed tends to bring the energy of the third party into a new intimate relationship. In any event, a mirror facing the bed is just bad Fend Shui and can affect your sleep in various ways.

11. Fresh flowers

Have fresh flowers in your living room to invite love into your home. Singles who wish to marry should display a vase of peonies in the living room or any pink flower.

  1. O have been told to have the bed facing the entrance to the bedroom, but in my new house, it won’t fit that way, onky on the wall to the left if the door. How will that negatively impact the energy of the room? Am single and want to find a permanent partner.

  2. I have 4 yellow marble /stone balls about 4 inches in diameter. Where in my two bedroom apartment would be the appropriate place to place these?? Thank you! I’m redoing my bedroom ASAP!! :-))

  3. Thank you for comments and questions on the Feng Shui article. Here are two suggestions but since this is the article section of 7th Sense, I would suggest to both Sue and June to either google your questions or obtain a book on Feng Shui. Sue, a red color throw on the bottom of your bed or a red rug to the entrance way in your bedroom will draw the love energy to your bed. June, yellow is a spiritual color and should be placed somewhere within the heart of your bedroom meaning in the middle. Hope this helps and do call one of our fabulous psychics to give you more tips and information on bringing that love into your life.
