Tarot Card Draw #1: Page of Swords, reversed

The Page of Swords reversed represents a time in which you are feeling very lackluster, demotivated or otherwise have no desire to complete regular tasks. You have felt very mentally exhausted, and simply do not have the drive to push forward. You might be feeling mentally broken down or have just exhausted all of your efforts recently and need a break. You might be biting off more than you can chew, letting down your close friends and family with undelivered promises. Be careful to ensure you are not spreading yourself too thin and focus on only one task at a time. Recharge your mind and your thoughts and take some extra time to reevaluate your focus so you can proceed. This card can also indicate that someone around you is manipulating your mind to work against you, potentially damaging your wellbeing and other relationships. Unfortunately, sometimes those we allow to be the closest to us do not have pure intentions. It is not uncommon for people to manipulate others around them to compensate for something they are lacking. While this is usually intentional, on some occasions the person is not even aware they are manipulating you or causing any harm. Be careful in your interactions with your closest friends and family and pay close attention to the things they are doing or saying and what effect they have on your life and decision making. The Page of Swords reversed also can indicate that you are unsure of your path in life. You may be jumping around between different careers, or different areas of study or focus in your professional life, and you need to find something solid to grab onto. Maybe you are unsure of where you want to live, what higher education courses you want to take, what career you want to settle into, or any number of decisions. Take some time to truly feel what is in your own mind and heart, ensuring that you are not allowing others to manipulate anything you want for yourself, and go forth with the path you feel is best for your own wellbeing.

Tarot Card Draw #2: Queen of Pentacles

When I just glance or initially look at the upright Queen of Pentacles, I think of a rich woman sitting out in her yard in a throne version of a lawn chair. Not quite as opulent as an actual throne, but far more fancy than any regular piece of lawn furniture. Our lovely lady seems happy and is holding up a coin (pentacle) as if to say this can be yours if you truly desire it and are willing to do what needs to be done to attain it and always keep it real (keep yourself in check and don’t get the big head). Personally, I believe we each should strive to be as much like the Queen of Pentacles as possible, men and women alike. She is a financially secure and independent woman whom many would consider rich, but she is also very down to earth and never forgets how quickly and easily the tides can turn and fortunes and security can be lost. She is a people person and never allows wealth or status to go to her head or cloud her judgement. She will come up for you in a financial/work/business reading or daily draw to show you what is possible as long as you keep it real, do not fall victim to the dark side of money and are willing to simply do what needs to be done to attain the wealth and security you desire. Through her, we see that it is possible to have it all. Many working mothers can relate to that as we struggle daily with trying to balance work, money, family, home and the many other obligations. But by maintaining the right mind set and diligent as well as consistent effort, all that you desire is well within your grasp.

Tarot Card Draw #3: The Fool

The Fool is usually a good card to get in a daily tarot draw. Among other positive things, it heralds new beginnings. Drawing The Fool card may indicate that you are on the brink of a new, exciting and unexpected venture. This new and exciting venture may require you to step outside your comfort zone to some degree, but it will be very well worth it. You will need to step out on faith and take a chance on yourself but you will grow as a result. This new venture could be a literal one such as a trip to a new and unknown place, a new job or taking a course on something that interests you. It could also be figurative in that it may be you taking a journey in your own mind, looking within for inspiration or working to grow your spirituality. The change this card can bring will usually be a welcome one; however, its appearance in a reading can also indicate that you need to take the time to look before you leap. The Fool in love is exciting and spontaneous but can sometimes be a little bit fickle. For those in relationships, The Fool indicates being so in love you can hardly contain your excitement and cannot stand to be away from each other. However, if the person asking the question is asking about commitment, this card is linked to a lack of commitment and/or not being ready for a commitment. For those that are single, it is a very good indicator that an impulsive, carefree romance is just ahead for you. If you play your cards right, the romance could turn to be more serious should that be your interest. If The Fool appears, be prepared for fun-filled romance but be careful not to miss true love if it comes your way during this time.
