Tarot Card Draw #1: Ace of Swords
The Ace of Swords, upright, shows us a woman brandishing an extra long sword which speaks of mind over matter when viewed with the snow-capped mountains behind her. The sky is filled with white, fluffy clouds indicating the purity of new beginnings which are often heralded by any ace. The mind is an extremely powerful tool with limitless power. It can take you from the absolute darkest of places to the most joyous moments we have experienced, often in the blink of an eye. Swords are a suit that speak on matters of the mind and intellect rather than action. When several swords turn up in a tarot reading, they are expressing that it is not quite the time for action, but rather a time to plan and contemplate your next move. Aces are usually indicators of new beginnings. The Ace of Swords generally talks about planning and preparation as well as making the focused effort and being determined to keep moving forward despite what may lay ahead. While you may be anxious for a change, especially after months of being quarantined and heavily restricted in our daily lives and finances, the time is not yet upon you to take action. Rather sit back and bide your time while mentally processing the potential that lay before you.
Tarot Card Draw #2: The High Priestess
Among the core indications of The High Priestess are an air of mystery, heightened sensuality and a solid gut intuition, each or all coupled with really good common sense. You are headed in the right direction and keeping things just interesting enough to prevent others from feeling bored. The High Priestess appearing in your daily draw could be urging you to be more mindful of your own gut intuition or simply in your own abilities. She could also be trying to make you more aware of various signs being sent your way either by spirit or a deceased loved one. She may be telling you to try and pay more attention to your dreams and, if you receive them, visual or audio messages being sent your way. When seeking guidance on a professional situation or opportunity, this lovely lady may come up letting you know that you could soon be made aware of information or an opportunity that will greatly benefit you in some way. She also talks of finding hidden inspiration or an undiscovered talent or that it is time to be more expressive of who you are and what you are capable of. If you are a writer or graphic/visual artist, you need to let your inner light shine brightly for all the world to see. If you are a student who is currently struggling in a particular subject, The High Priestess may pop up to tell you it is time to seek the assistance or guidance of a tutor. Lastly, The High Priestess may come up for you as a warning to keep your finances to yourself or solely between yourself and your significant other.
Tarot Card Draw #3: The Hermit, reversed
The Hermit falling upright for you frequently indicates the need for time alone to regroup or get some things straight in your mind and/or heart. However, when this card falls in the reversed position in a daily tarot draw, it may be trying to tell you that you are spending too much time alone or in isolation. You need to get back out there are start living your life, slowly beginning to socialize and reintegrate yourself. Too much time alone can be rather damaging to your emotional and/or mental state. Also, while time in self-reflection and taking time to do a reassessment of your life is often a good thing, there must be limitations as too much time in self-reflection could be potentially damaging as well. You may find yourself looking a bit too deeply and are seeing things from a darker perspective causing you to develop a negative outlook. Also, too much time in self-reflection can cloud your judgement and just confuse things as you may fall into the trap of “what if” or come to have regrets about a past decision that was actually in your best interest at the time. The Hermit, reversed, could also turn up for you in reference to a social situation in which you are feeling rather shy or reluctant to participate in but need to just take a chance and open yourself up. This card is encouraging you to be more social, get out there and open yourself up to new people and situations. In reversed position, The Hanged Man may also speak of you being afraid of looking at yourself more objectively out of fear of what you may see or learn about yourself. Lastly, when in reverse, The Hanged Man could be suggesting that you have allowed yourself to become a bit obsessed with someone or something to your own detriment. Also, you may be given to overly restrictive thoughts or a very narrow way of thinking and looking at things. Lighten up.
