Tarot Card Draw #1: The Chariot

If you are dealing with a situation which you feel is out of your control and The Chariot turns up in your daily draw, it is to tell you that you have far more control than you realize. This card is stressing now is the time to step up and command what you deserve. Not DEmand, but rather COMmand. There is a big difference. Demanding something is when one, to some degree, tries to force others to their will or to make others see things in a specific way. Command is to show others what you believe you deserve by proving yourself, taking charge and standing up for yourself in a more objective way. An example, respect is earned (commanded) rather than a right (demanded). A need for objectivity is also indicated by The Chariot. You may have become a bit too close to a situation and your objectivity is blurred. The Chariot will pop up urging you to take a couple of steps back and do a thorough reassessment. This would occur when you feel as though you’ve come up against a solid brick wall when trying to solve a problem or find a solution to a financial concern. Get your thoughts and priorities in order, dig deep to find the confidence needed and move forward with a more objective view, thus being able to form a solid plan. The Chariot may also show up in your daily draw to bring your attention to some of your recent negative actions, or more importantly negative reactions. It is possible you have recently been acting in a defensive or aggressive manner in order to hide what you are truly feeling such as emotional vulnerability, insecurity, self-doubt, fear. In matters of the heart, The Chariot may be drawn by you as a signal you need to get your emotions in check lest you ruin your relationship. It is possible you have been overly emotional and a bit too demanding of your partner’s time and attention. Each of these things is a surefire recipe for relationship failure. Also, if you find that you and your partner are going through any kind of rough patch, The Chariot is there to stress the importance of open, honest communication and focused efforts at all times by each of you, even in the good times (especially in the good times). This card may also turn up warning of insecurities getting the best of one of you and must be brought under control, quickly. For us single people, this card suggests you may be holding on to something or someone from your past thus preventing you from welcoming a new love. Heal, let go, move on. In a professional context, The Chariot is to tell you quite loudly that you are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit. Of course, it goes without saying that The Chariot often heralds travel of some kind as it relates directly to transportation. Maybe it’s time for a road trip or a short getaway.

Tarot Card Draw #2: The Emperor

The Emperor card, to be honest, is not one of my favorite cards to pull on any level. There is a powerful, get it done, I’ve got this covered energy about those associated with this card that is both charismatic and intoxicating but also comes with undertones of control. Today may be a day that you find yourself challenged by this type of energy. Always when an Emperor blocks your path to self-growth, it IS your self-growth. This powerful, my way or the highway energy is not always wrapped up in a male incarnation. It could also be a female with a strong male approach to life. Today you may be presented with your opportunity to be quicker, stronger, faster and smarter by self-containment, NOT defense. If you immediately deal with whatever situation is presented to you with an attitude that it is their baggage, not yours, and let it roll off you, your personal power will huge! You do not have to defend who you are and what you are to anyone. I personally use the ‘Fear of Speaking’ tool and imagine the intellectual bully who is trying to outsmart me without any clothes and not knowing they are naked. Humor is one of the best deflectors of bullying energy, bringing down to size those who think they are mountains but actually just pebbles piled high. A good “call your bluff” and they usually grumble and crumble. It really does work and also don’t forget to have a sense of humor about yourself.

Tarot Card Draw #3: Six of Pentacles, reversed

It is difficult to find the good when the Six of Pentacles turns up reversed in a daily draw, but not impossible. This card may just be showing up to bring your attention to some of your own manipulative actions or as a warning someone may be trying to take advantage of you in some way. That is about all of the good, unfortunately. Yet, it still can be used as a lesson learned situation in that it warns of someone being overly generous toward you with expectations of something, though unspoken at the time, in return. A professional superior, investor, banker may be expecting you to jump through hoops to obtain whatever it is you may desire or need. Be careful submitting to this situation as it could very well lead to them only expecting more and more of you. This card often warns of ulterior motives, either someone else’s or your own. It signals extreme manipulation, again either by you or someone else involved. It denotes a lack of generosity on your part or unscrupulous charities and those working on the behalf of persons less fortunate. They may be using that work to benefit themselves much more so than those they purport to be helping. You or someone else may be greatly abusing power or authority in some way be it professional, financial or even in personal relationships on every level. Do not allow yourself to be a brown noser and do not expect others to be such toward you. It often warns of being gullible, even falling victim to humiliating situations or sacrifices. Maybe you are taking advantage of someone’s good nature or them yours. For those looking for love, reversed Six of Pentacles warns that if you have a mean or controlling nature, you are sending out nonverbal ques for others to run as fast as they can in the opposite direction. Check yourself. When inquiring about someone you recently met and are wondering if they would make a good romantic partner, this card screams, “NO!”. You need to run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. When it comes to professional matters, the Six of Pentacles reversed is a very strong warning that now is not the time to take risky or unnecessary chances with your employment or in your business. In contract negotiations, this card warns to thoroughly read the fine print as if the deal sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. In finances, if you are doing well, it is time to pay it forward and not be stingy. At the same time, do not allow yourself to fall victim to those who will only expect more if you give of yourself or your time/money in some way. They will take advantage of you. Lastly, reversed Six of Pentacles may pop up to help you see you may be being underpaid and undervalued professionally. It is also a strong indicator to heed someone else’s financial advice or that assistance is available if you only look.
