Janet Jackson Files for Divorce From 3rd Husband

Janet Jackson age 50 and her businessman husband, Wissam Al Mana have split just months after welcoming a baby together. One source said the split is amicable and the couple will co-parent their son, others said trouble had been brewing for months. “She thought he had become too controlling during the pregnancy and she already allowed him to dictate her appearance and even the way she performed at concerts,” said the source who works closely with the couple. Other demands the “Rhythm Nation” singer gave in to included toning down her 2014 concert tour — wearing clothing that covered her body, instead of the skin-revealing outfits fans had grown to love. She also declined to do music videos that featured any bumping and grinding, trademarks of her work, the source said. “It drove her crazy and she felt she was losing her fan base.” They hoped the baby would help. Their son Eissa was born on January 3 of this year. Al Mana also reportedly insisted that the couple who were based in London, live under strict Muslim law, which includes barring a new mother from being seen in public while nursing the baby. Sources say the last straw for Janet, was her husband’s indifference to her mother Katherine Jackson’s elder abuse claims against her nephew Trent. After her mother returned to L.A. after a two month stay, “that’s when Janet made her decision and there was no turning back,” the source said. “She was worried about her mother — and Wissam showed little to no concern.” Al Mana is Janet’s third husband … she married James DeBarge in the 80s but split after a year and was with Rene Elizondo Jr. from 1991 to 2000.

According to reports, just months after giving birth, Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana came to an agreement things weren’t working and decided to go their separate ways. With both having large assets and now a child, there may be significant financial implications. Both Janet and Wissam Al Mana are super wealthy, but he far more than she. He has an estimated net worth of $1 billion. She’s worth an estimated $175 million. Janet, who had a prenup with husband #2 Rene Elizondo, almost will certainly have a prenup with Al Mana in place. Such prenups are typically structured based on the longer the marriage, the bigger the settlement. Prenups typically have 5 and 10 year marks, which trigger more money in the settlement to be divided. Given the date of her reported separation Al Mana, it seems to be almost exactly at the 5-year mark of marriage.

Will Janet’s Divorce from Al Mana Wissam Be Amicable?

Susan Z’s Conclusion:

Princess of Wands: Inverted (Upside Down)
This card represents a young person and also new projects in the works. This I believe represents Janet’s young girl approach to love and not much maturity as the card in inverted. It also indicates her decision was made due to her new projects being turned out in a way she was not happy with.

Six of Pentacles:
This card represents sharing of love and gifts. I believe this card shows that they still love each other and because of that will try and work this divorce out without an overabundance of hostility towards each other.

Ten of Swords:
This card represents hard and troubled emotional times. I feel this card shows that Janet has not been happy with the restrictions placed upon her from Al Mana’s strict religious beliefs for a while and since this was the last draw, shows she wants to put them behind her.
