Actor Jesse Williams had a petition signed and surrendered against him with over 23000 signatures in response to his outspoken comments about Caucasian Police officers and Caucasians in general. Williams responded by saying that there was no basis for their claims. Personally, I find the whole race thing very confusing. It doesn’t matter the tone of the skin of the person throwing the racism, racism is wrong, wrong, wrong. All of us are part of the human race, all of us have red blood, all of us are from and will return to spirit, and your spirit is not of any earth bound race, it is a universal energy.
In my own family, we have all different skin tones from sallow to fair, hair colours from dark to fair to red. Should we divide ourselves up according to colour? Absolutely not. Should the red haired people have more say that the sallow skinned people? Absolutely not. When you have a problem with a person, it is a problem with that person, it is not the colour of your skin or hair that makes one right and one wrong. It is not the fact that you were born on one street and they on another, or born in one country and they in another. Respect is something that is earned. And it’s not something you demand. You gain it by your actions regardless of the storm you face, just like the great Nelson Mandela and Gandhi.
While I can understand Jesse Williams anger, the focus of his anger was for the right reasons in the wrong place. When people are wrong, they are wrong. They are not a wrong black or white person; they are a person.

Anger will solve nothing, it is the fuel on the fire of hate, so it’s time to start closing the hate gate and start putting logic into these situations. It would be a shame for the show such a talented actor, but Jesse should remember that the viewers are from many different walks of life all different shades of skins, whose ancestors came from many different countries. Offence is easier given than repaired.
