Jon Gosselin Stripper Debut Not Quite As Expected
Jon Gosselin, former TV Reality star of Kate and John Plus 8, made his highly-anticipated debut as a stripper last Saturday night and it sure was not what anyone was expecting. During the “Untamed Male Revue” at Dusk Nightclub in Atlantic City, Gosselin made multiple appearances and danced to songs like “Pony” by Ginuwine and “SexyBack” by Justin Timberlake, but he never actually stripped as reported by E! News. He apparently revealed a twenty-pound weight loss for his new job as a stripper but in fact didn’t even take his shirt off! Well, he presented a fool’s gold approach by wearing a tank top with six-pack abs drawn onto it underneath. Gosselin’s lack of stripping didn’t seem to discourage the audience from getting into the show, however. At one point, a woman in the audience stuck a $100 bill down his pants while his family and friends looked on from a roped off area.
Jon stated “I never said I was going to strip!”. The stripping debut also doubled as his 40th birthday celebration but the big hype was that he was going for a “Magic Mike” new career move. He also said his kids knew he would be performing during the strip show. “To my family, I apologize,” he reportedly said during the show. He has not had much luck in keeping employment since his number one hit reality show went off the air in 2009. The show ran for five seasons and since then Jon has been a waiter, DJ and held various other jobs.
As it turns out, the hoopla around Gosselin’s apparent career change was a “social experiment,” as he explained in a video posted to his Facebook page after the show. “What started as a great social experiment turned out to be an incredible experience, and I’m glad planet Earth still cares about me,” he said in the footage. “Everyone wants to know why I did this. I’ve been under media scrutiny for a good part of my life, 10 years. I wanted to give myself the best 40th birthday present ever. I wanted my family and my friends to be there and why not have a huge party with an amazing venue?”

I do not feel that anything major opportunity will come from his so-called stripping hype.
