Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven Copied ?

Well if you haven’t heard this song, you have been living on a desert Island without any communication for the last 40 years. But Stairway to Heaven not only made a hit for Led Zepplin in 1971 but sewn delicately into people’s lives, carrying wonderful memories of days gone by, in a way that only a song can. But hold on! Someone is saying he stole part of the song? Well at least the opening cords, but as it says in the song: “you know sometimes words have two meanings”

Now I wouldn’t claim to be a musician, but surely there are only so many notes and within those notes there are so many variations? So surely, no matter what song you write, there will always be one that sounds like it. Well that’s in my humble opinion anyway. Would it make the song any less valuable? Not in my eyes anyway. It’s a bit like building a fence and then your neighbour copies you using the same wood, but it looks better. Yes it would make you angry, but obviously it’s first incarnation didn’t have what it takes. Let’s hope it’s wrong, but it won’t stop me loving the song. Ooh makes me wonder.

Master Psychic Vincent’s Verdict.

What do the cards say? Well I drew this one for the band and they drew the King of Wands, The Hierophant, and the Seven of Cups. Lets break this down. The King of Wands indicates energy and passion that is put into work. The Hierophant is the professor, the teacher from where knowledge comes. The Seven of Cups indicates the passion which is put into something. This passion must come from the heart, otherwise it wouldn’t work. Combining the three cards I see that the passion and energy they put into their music is not at stake here. Did the opening notes come from somewhere? It’s possible the influence came from outside. But remember when baking the cake, you do not need to have laid the egg to call the cake yours, it’s simply an ingredient for a work of art.
