Leonardo DiCaprio and Captain Planet.
Environmental crusader Leonardo DiCaprio, whose self titled foundation works ceaselessly to protect our wonderful planet and its endangered species, may be taking on a whole new role. The actor is currently in negotiations wishing to gain the rights to the Captain Planet cartoon series through his production company. If the negotiations are successful then a motion picture will be in the pipeline.
The Captain Planet TV show appeared on our screens from September 1990 to December 1992. It told the story of five youths from across the globe known as the Planeteers who sought to defend the earth from disasters whilst educating mankind about the earth. Captain Planet appeared on each episode to inform viewers that the Planet is ours. An ideal project for an environmentalist movie star who has pledged millions of dollars over the years via his foundation which was set up in 1998.
DiCaprio is quoted as saying, ‘The destruction of our planet continues at a pace we can no longer afford to ignore.’ He went on to add, ‘’We have a responsibility to innovate a future where the habitability of our planet does not come at the expense of those who inhabit it. I am proud to support these organisations who are working to solve humankind’s greatest challenge.’ Couldn’t agree more!

Focusing specifically on this particular project we drew the Ten of Pentacles, the King of Wands and the Two of Hearts.
The ten of pentacles represents the secure base in which to build. There is a sense of formality and values associated with this card and investments for the future.
The king of wands shows that he is prepared to stand by his convictions and although there is an impulsive energy around this card, I feel that any risks will be calculated risks.
The two of hearts is very much a collaboration close to his heart. Union of a business nature is revealed, and although there is more information to come, I do feel a commitment to this particular project.
