Apparently, hair said to be from the late and very great Marilyn Monroe has gone on auction for a staggering $8000. Well, the word out there is that there are only two locks of hair, so you’re not going to make a Marilyn wig out of it. The hair is among a treasure trove of memorabilia from the estate of a fan turned friend. Whatever about the bits and pieces, one wonders why you would want someone’s hair in your home. I have enough trouble holding onto my own.
I’m sure Marilyn would find it fascinating as the more I learn about this lady, the more I like her. More for the fact that with all the fame of her day, she managed to maintain the simplest of desires and that was for marriage and motherhood. I personally was only in production when Marilyn left this world, as she did so one month before I was born, but the legend that was Marylyn is timeless.
Even today, in a different century, women across the world look at her as the symbol of femininity and beauty and men see her as the ultimate in sexual attraction. I’m sure she did a lot to boost the manufacture of hair colour, as the blonde industry owes her a lot. So that leave me wondering. Is this the brunette pre-famous Marilyn?
