Well, I hate to break it to you guys but we are getting ready to go into Mercury Retrograde this week in Cancer, Thursday June 18th until July 12th. The effects of Mercury Retrograde starts a few days before and lingers about a week afterwards. This Retrograde will stir up a lot of unchecked emotions, defensive energies and a strong pull to nurture oneself emotionally, mentally and being more aware of your health habits. With everything still up in the air with our economy, health concerns over the COVID virus, you may find this will be the beginning of a week you may be a little over sensitive about almost everything, starting today. Depending on your Zodiac sign and other influences, it will dictate how you project inner strength standing on shaky ground. The more you focus within and not the fear-based talk, judgment of those making different choices than you, reacting with violence, verbally or physically, the faster things will start changing for the better for YOU! Leave others to work out their own karma on this challenge. Help when you can but don’t let others who are angry or in fear try to throw-up on you.

Tarot Card Draw #1: Four of Pentacles
Well, I haven’t spoken to anyone yet that isn’t wondering what their financial future will look like in this pandemic. You have pulled the Four of Pentacles which is a total representation of attending to your finances today and asking yourself, “how do they look?” If you are part of the Americans who have lost your jobs, used your one stimulus check to pay rent, not sure what your financial future will look like; you have to remember that regardless of how things may appear in the moment and what others are experiencing, YOU have total control on how you are going to feel about it. Feel defeated and you will delay helpful financial solutions. Today, take an attitude that regardless of not knowing how things are going to be resolved, it WILL get resolved to your benefit. Don’t put any scenario on it, no time limit to constrict the Universe’s help. If your heart is open to receive, trusting and hopeful, there will be room for the powers that be, to fill it with opportunities. If you allow a fearful pity party to stay too long, it will set up housekeeping; leaving no room for luck, unexpected windfalls, help from unlikely sources and the most important one, opening new doors with your good in mind.
Tarot Card Draw #2: The Tower (Reversed)
The Tower is fairly consistent with having the rug pulled out from under you, being blindsided, unexpected happenings (both good and challenging) and carries the basic rule of “didn’t see that coming!” Even if you did, you either could not or did not take any action to change the course. The Tower card is usually representative of circumstances that are out of our control, it is more than likely going to happen in one form or another. Something like being stuck on the tracks in a stalled-out car, train heading straight for you and you have two choices. If you can’t move the car, get the hell out of the way of getting mangled or face planted by something that is much bigger than you can control or keep on insisting the car will start until it is too late to change the course you have chosen. Since it was pulled reversed, it is an encouraging sign that the biggest hits are behind you and it’s now about cleaning up the mess. Today, that is exactly what you are in the middle of. Whether it was a big or small upheaval in your life, you have begun the thought process or physical actions of making different choices for different outcomes.
Tarot Card Draw #3: The Emperor
The Emperor card, to be honest, is not one of my favorite cards to pull on any level. There is a powerful, get it done, I’ve got this covered energy about those associated with this card that is both charismatic and intoxicating but also comes with undertones of control. Today may be a day that you find yourself challenged by this type of energy. Always when an Emperor blocks your path to self-growth, it IS your self-growth. This powerful, my way or the highway energy is not always wrapped up in a male incarnation. It could also be a female with a strong male approach to life. Today you may be presented with your opportunity to be quicker, stronger, faster and smarter by self-containment, NOT defense. If you immediately deal with whatever situation is presented to you with an attitude that it is their baggage, not yours, and let it roll off you, your personal power will huge! You do not have to defend who you are and what you are to anyone. I personally use the ‘Fear of Speaking’ tool and imagine the intellectual bully who is trying to outsmart me without any clothes and not knowing they are naked. Humor is one of the best deflectors of bullying energy, bringing down to size those who think they are mountains but actually just pebbles piled high. A good “call your bluff” and they usually grumble and crumble. It really does work and also don’t forget to have a sense of humor about yourself.
