Poem for Michael Jackson’s 58th birthday from his son.

Michael Jackson would have been 58-years-old this year. Many of his famous friends including Madonna, Rob Thomas, and sister LaToya paid tribute to the late singer through social media. However, it was Michael’s son Prince who paid the most touching tribute to the late star. The 19-year-old shared a poem he had written himself about his father titled ‘The Myth, The Legend, The Man.’ Prince wrote that few were lucky enough to personally know his legendary father. He posted it with the caption: ‘Happy birthday to the Man who was more than a legend. I love you.’ Paris, his 18-year-old younger sister reposted the poem. She wrote how much she loved it and how proud she was of her older brother.

Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest back in June 2009. He was 50 years old.

Véronique’s Verdict

The loss of a loved one is devastating and being in the public eye can be a double-edged sword. Loved ones find comfort from those who respectfully mourn the deceased but any mean-spirited behavior hurts ten-fold. I decided to use choose from the Angel cards here instead of the tarot. We drew ‘Idea’s and Inspiration!’ Michael Jackson was the King of Pop whose creativity inspired generations over decades. He was described as a child with overwhelming musical gifts, the boy who stood out amongst his brothers; for all the right reasons!

Let’s leave the last word to Michael…

…I’ve been in the entertainment industry since I was six-years-old, and as Charles Dickens would say, “It’s been the best of times, the worst of times.” But I would not change my career… While some have made deliberate attempts to hurt me, I take it in stride because I have a loving family, a strong faith and wonderful friends and fans who have, and continue, to support me.”
