Rita Ora has a karmic clear out. Is she over the Becky Rumors?

Rita Ora has opened up about the gossip surrounding the rumor’s that she was referred to in one of Beyonce’s songs as ‘Becky with the good hair.’ She said that it was extremely upsetting being named as a possible mistress. I’ll bet!

Rita revealed that both Jay-Z and his wife were her inspiration and idols growing up. The gossip seemed to start when Rita shared a Snapchat of herself wearing a printed bra featuring lemons… at around the same time as the release of Beyonce’s Lemonade. She also had a deal with Jay Z’s label, Roc Nation, from 2008-2016. Coincidence?  Rita says that around that time she was given a ‘not becky’ pin by Katy Perry when she attended a Met Gala. Although there were others sporting the pin, none of them were targeted quite in the manner that Rita was. Not very media savvy in this instance.

She also spoke out about her ex Calvin Harris who reportedly banned her from performing the song he wrote and produced for her, ‘I Will Never Let You Down.’ She says that he’s very talented, which he is; but clearly not one to stand by his lyrics!

Rita says that she has learned her lesson when it comes to discussing relationships publicly. She went on to say that love is great, but also dangerous. People do crazy things when it comes to jealousy and love. Yes Rita, people do!

Véronique’s Verdict

What do the cards say for Rita Ora today? She drew The Justice Card, The Hierophant Card and The High Priestess. Quite a powerful threesome. All major arcana cards.

The Justice Card tells Rita that now is the time for reasoning. The time is now for balancing the metaphorical accounts. She has been quoted as saying many things, I wonder how much truth has been spoken? Rita has taken huge steps to protect herself and her career, she’s not out of the woods yet and there may be irreparable damage to her reputation but I do feel that every day is a new day revealing higher moral values.

The Hierophant shows that when infidelity comes into question, ‘the other woman’ real or perceived will always be guilty until proven innocent. Rita has submitted to conformity in a way that she probably didn’t expect but she has begun to come out the other side.

The High Priestess can reveal the shadow side in us all. With regard to this particular situation, Rita should move on. No further dialogue is necessary. Whatever did or didn’t happen, there was no real need for her to defend non-actions. With the greatest respect to Rita, regardless of the facts around the situation, being pitted against a power couple is an exercise in futility. Deal with the absolute essentials and move on! There have been many hard lessons learned here but Rita should now draw a line under the sorry and outdated episode. Move away folks there’s nothing more to see!
