The Safest Airlines of 2017
Ever since the first plane crashed, people have been afraid of flying. Their fear was mostly because of the media coverage those accidents received. However, studies show that in fact that fear isn`t necessarily justified. There are more people dying each year driving a car, than flying by plane. 5 million times more.
Of course, this doesn`t mean that nobody should drive a car. Nor does it mean that flying is for everyone. And of course, you can`t fly to your aunt, who lives 200 miles away from you. What if our work or other circumstances force us to get on a plane? Sometimes the fear stays there, regardless of hard facts. Well, there is a good news for those who don`t have an option or simply decide to fight their fear.
AirlineRatings.com is a website created in 2013, for the sole purpose of listing the safest airlines accessible to us all. For four years, Qantas has taken home the ‘prize’ for not having any fatalities. That`s a huge relief, isn`t it? There is also a Top 20 list for those who aren’t lucky enough to live anywhere near the Australian carrier.
What`s even more promising is that new equipment is researched each and every year. During the past 20 years, there have been less and less accidents and even less claimed lives. That`s all across the board.

What are the requirements to make it onto this list? Each ‘contestant’ needs to have an outstanding track record of safety measures, very few (or no) accidents and incidents.
Unfortunately, American Airlines didn`t make it to the list, but they were very close. Then again, it`s all a question of numbers. A major airline headquarter can`t be measured the same way as one that only has a few trips a year.
Let`s consult the cards to see what we can do to get rid of our fear of flying.
Psychic Timea`s Verdict:
Four of Cups:
This card asks as to re-evaluate what we are missing out on. Is our fear preventing us from danger, or from something that could be beneficial for us? Fear is healthy, but only a healthy amount of it. Don`t let it hold you back from achieving your dreams. Even if they include flying.
The Moon:
If one is aware of the source of their own fear, they will have the power to deal with it. Remember, your own shadow is also a part of you. Let your intuition guide you and look deep within. What`s causing the fear?
Knight of Pentacles: Of course, a conservative approach is ‘safe’. Is it fruitful, too? We have to make sure that our safety doesn`t mean seclusion and a sheltered attitude. Try not to resist change, as it can take you to a whole new world. In this case, quite literally.
