Latin pop legend Selena Quintanilla gets on the Hollywood walk of Fame.
It’s wonderful to see that finally, 22 years after her passing, Latin pop legend Selena Quintanilla has got her star on the Hollywood walk of fame. She has been named as one of the 2017 inductees and I’m sure she is very proud of her achievements. I don’t believe death exists, just the transformation of energy of the person they were and grew to be on their journey through life.
Selena was well known in the Mexican, American and Hispanic communities in the United States and Mexico. Her character was played by Jennifer Lopez in the Movie called Selena. Sadly, she was murdered on March 31st, 1995, by the president of her fan club Yolanda Saldivar. She was only 23 years old. It is beyond words, that someone who brought so much light into the life of so many people in her short 23 years with us on this journey, should be cut down mid-flight.
I don’t read cards for those who have passed, as their journey is finished on this side. What strikes me about Selena is the horrible waste of a beautiful talented woman. When you think of all the things she should still be doing as a 46-year-old lady, with possibly a family who never came to be. When Yolanda pulled the gun on Selena, she didn’t just kill Selena but wiped out countless generations of her family who will now never come to be. May she rest in peace and be comforted in the emotion and energy all those who knew her are sending over to her today.
