Sharon Tate ’s Sister Says Jennifer Lawrence Is Not Pretty Enough To Play Her In New Movie
Well, according to Sharon Tate’s sister, she thinks Jennifer Lawrence isn’t ‘pretty enough’ to play Sharon in Tarantino’s new movie on the Manson Family murders. Debra Tate knew calling out Lawrence’s appearance was “horrible,” but she did it anyway. Earlier this week, it was announced that Quentin Tarantino’s next film will center on the Manson Family murders, specifically the killing of Hollywood beauty Sharon Tate. Speculations about potential casting choices began swirling online almost immediately, with outlets reporting that Tarantino had met with Margot Robbie for the role of Tate and that Jennifer Lawrence was also rumored to be involved with the project. It remains unclear as to whether both Robbie and Lawrence are actually being considered for Tate (or any role, for that matter). If it does come down to those two stars, apparently Tate’s sister Debra has a strong opinion about who she’d choose. (Tarantino cares, right?)
“They’re both extremely accomplished actresses but I would have to say, my pick would be Margot. Simply because her physical beauty and the way she even carries herself is similar to that of Sharon,” Debra recently told TMZ. But noooo, she didn’t stop there. “I don’t think as much about Jennifer Lawrence,” she continued. “Not that I have anything against her. But she just, I don’t know, she’s not pretty enough to play Sharon. That’s a horrible thing to say, but I have my standards.” She added, “Physical beauty wouldn’t be so important but Sharon’s six years of her public life were all based on that incredibly beautiful natural perfect look, in soul heart and spirit. That’s what I’m looking to try to capture.” Most will have to disagree with Debra on this one. Both Robbie and Lawrence are stunning Hollywood actresses. Whatever ends up happening with the casting, Debra said she wants Tarantino to reach out to her, as she’s the one in charge of her sister’s intellectual licensing. “I’m not necessarily opposed to this project, but I am very concerned in how he would portray my sister and I would like to sit down and have a chat with him. He needs to, in my opinion, portray her as she was and not sensationalize or go into a lot of these internet rumors.” Well folks, what do you think the odds on that meeting as Tarantino’s movies are all about sensationalizing his subject matter and he has a notorious “I don’t give a shit what you think” attitude?
Either Actress, If Being Seriously Considered For The Part Of Sharon Tate, Will Do An Amazing Job
Susan Z’s Conclusion:
Well since no is going to tell Tarantino what to do on his movie and I am sure Jennifer Lawrence with her “kick ass” personality doesn’t give a shit either what Sharon Tate’s sister thinks, this may be a moot point. I believe Debra Tate feels she is just protecting her sister’s memory but unfortunately how everyone remembers her sister is being murdered by the Manson family and not much else.
The High Priestess: Inverted (Upside Down)
This is female energy that is self-sufficient but can also feel isolated and alone on her mission. I feel this is Debra Tate’s energy “protecting” her sister’s image and memory.
Three of Cups:
This is of joy and celebration. I was surprised to see this card pulled with such a dark subject matter around Tarantino’s movie but I feel that after it is finished, Sharon’s sister might be pleasantly surprised foregoing no or very little input in the making of it.
Princess of Cups: Inverted
This is a young energy and also reflects inner child innocence. I will interpret this card to represent Sharon Tate and possibly the young innocence her sister still sees in her and wants to preserve that even under the dark circumstances of her death.
