Each of us as persons should always be working to move forward. But sometimes moving on is not quite so easy. This week, four ladies email who very much need to do just that, move on.

Lisa desperately wants to let go of her past, Lidia desires to break free from her oppressive husband of more than 40 years, Lesley questions whether she should continue standing by her man who has found himself on the wrong side of the law, Lara cannot stop thinking about her abusive ex.

“I have written to you before but I’m writing again because I really do need your help. How can I truly let my past go and be free from all that pain and suffering ,it is ruining my life . I want to fall in love again and be happy but I’m afraid that God didn’t make anyone for me and even if he did will my past ruin that too ? will I ever meet someone special and be happy ?” – Lisa

Hon, the card that came up for you was the Ten of Swords, reversed, which speaks of recovery after a very dark time. But know this recovery will not simply come to you. Rather you will need to work toward it and make it happen for yourself.

The best way to let your past go is by offering forgiveness. You need not express forgiveness to the person who did you wrong and providing forgiveness does not mean that you consider what was done as acceptable behavior.

Forgiveness is something you do for yourself and there is a very old saying that not being able to forgive is like drinking poison while hoping the other person will die.

While many people choose to be alone. As humans, we are not necessarily intended to be alone. Unfortunately, your dark and negative energies are preventing the right person from entering into your life.

This darkness will not last forever. But you absolutely must let it go.

Coming up for you in reverse, Lidia, was the Page of Pentacles. This card urges you to take action. Do not procrastinate. Make your exit quick, like ripping off a bandage, and do not look back. With some research and networking, I see you finding some resources to aid you in making your break and working to rebuild your life. It can happen. It will happen. You need to just make it happen.

“Hi Tami my name is Lesley. I have so many questions but my main concern is will my guy get his life back will he have justice or will all his problems put him back in jail . Or will it be all put to rest. Does he think of me or has he just givin up on us . Should I just walk away and stop being his support or should I keep by his side . I feel I’m going to be hurt by him again . What should I do ? Thank u” – Lesley

It is being expressed to me, hon, that you would be a great deal better off by letting go of this particular person. He does not deserve your support as I am seeing that he uses you in many different ways and will only continue to take advantage of you in any way he can. The King of Pentacles was drawn for you which encourages you to take control of the situation. If you cannot cut him off completely, you need to at least set some very firm boundaries and stand by them. Doing so will enhance your life in several ways but most importantly personally and financially.

“Hello i got out of an abusive relationship mentally and physically a few months ago with someone on an off for 10 years. I cant help but think about him and why is this,i do care for him but hes an alcholic and does some drugs he has no job ect. I dont live any where near him but i want to see him or talk to him constantly..please help is it from the abuse over all the years or will we be back together again…” – Lara

Lara, you need to stay as far away from this man as possible. Over the course of the ten years you were together, he beat you down mentally and emotionally as well broke your spirit. He taught you to believe that he, and only he, would ever love you because you are quite simply unlovable (his intent, not reality).

Speaking of your self-worth, the reversed Nine of Pentacles came up for you. This card says you desperately need to get your mind right. Professional help may be needed. But know it is not him you desire, but rather the comfort level that he trained you to accept.
