Tarot Card Draw #1: Five of Cups
The Five of Cups is an overly emotional card which quite often speaks of the negative emotions we experience such as grief, loss, depression, oppression, emotional pain, sadness, loneliness and despair. These negative emotions are quite often precipitated by an unwelcome or unexpected change or trauma in your life such as job loss, divorce, miscarriage, your significant other ending your shared romantic connection or the death of a loved one be it expected or unexpected. The Five of Cups may turn up in your daily draw if you have been feeling regret, remorse, anger sorrow or disappointment. Maybe you have recently wronged someone in some way and are now feeling badly for it. Possibly you feel abandoned or betrayed by someone close to you or by someone whom you trusted a great deal and never expected to turn on you. While your heart may be breaking or you may be simply feeling quite overwhelmed by the pain and darkness, this card also speaks of something that I quite frequently write about: there is always something positive to be found in every situation, no matter how bad or negative it may be. This is made evident by the lone upright cup among the four overturned cups. If we look hard enough, we can find the positive and hopefully use it to find healing or to be advantageous to us in some other way.
Tarot Card Draw #2: Ten of Wands
Sometimes we find ourselves in over our heads and quite possibly as a result of our own doing or making such as taking on much more than we can handle. The Ten of Wands may turn up for you in a daily draw to bring this to your attention. It may also represent a situation that started off as a good idea but has now become a burden. The Ten of Wands also indicates problems, responsibilities, being overburdened, overloaded and stressed. You may possibly feel as though you have a huge weight on your shoulders or may be feeling obligated, bound and restricted. The Ten of Wands could indicate you are being taken for granted or you may be dealing with some major struggles or challenges. It could be suggesting that you have taken on too much and may be heading for burn out. But on the upside, The Ten of Wands could indicate that the end is within reach. If you just hang in there a little while longer and keep going, you will ultimately achieve success. The Ten of Wands could also signify delays, losing your way, losing your focus and having an uphill struggle. It can indicate that the fun or spontaneity has gone out of your life. It can also signify the birth of a new project or idea that could prove quite positive for you. It is time to take action and step out on faith in your own creativity. If you have grown bored in your life, this card urges you to seek out a new passion, something new and innovative to get you fired up. The Ace of Wands screams that you are more than up for the challenge and you may soon find within yourself a previously hidden or unknown talent or ability. If you have been dealing with some negative and oppressive energy, this card speaks of you finding new inspiration to go on or, as some would say, a new lease on life. It turns up to remind you of your own infinite potential. For you creative types, the Ace of Wands encourages you take things a bit further. Be more daring, bold, take more chances and find new ways of expressing yourself. Alternatively, this card may also indicate conception, birth, new life but that is not limited to human form. Maybe you will just be getting a new furbaby.
