Tarot Card Draw #1: The Star, reversed

The Star reversed comes up in your tarot draw when you are feeling lonely, hopeless, and just ready to give up. You are likely feeling depressed and have had a long and difficult road and you do not see an end anywhere in sight. You have lost your sense of creativity and inspiration and are simply going through the motions with no clear direction. You must take charge of your own attitude and outlook towards life. Think positive, be positive! Instead of saying things like, “I will never finish this project,” say things like, “I need to rethink my strategy for this project so that I can complete it and begin the next project.” Make a conscious effort to change your statements and outlook, and this will cause your entire mindset to change without any effort. In your romantic life, if you are in a relationship, the Star reversed indicates you are likely putting too much focus into the negative aspects of your relationship, missing everything positive that is happening. You have likely lost faith and just feel as though your relationship is going nowhere. You need to work with your partner to rekindle the spark and keep your relationship alive. It is not the end! You simply need to work together as though you are new lovers vying for each other’s affection. Try something new, do something kind for each other from time to time, and this will help keep your relationship moving forward. The Hermit falling upright for you frequently indicates the need for time alone to regroup or get some things straight in your mind and/or heart. However, when this card falls in the reversed position in a daily tarot draw, it may be trying to tell you that you are spending too much time alone or in isolation. You need to get back out there are start living your life, slowly beginning to socialize and reintegrate yourself. Too much time alone can be rather damaging to your emotional and/or mental state. Also, while time in self-reflection and taking time to do a reassessment of your life is often a good thing, there must be limitations as too much time in self-reflection could be potentially damaging as well. You may find yourself looking a bit too deeply and are seeing things from a darker perspective causing you to develop a negative outlook. Also, too much time in self-reflection can cloud your judgement and just confuse things as you may fall into the trap of “what if” or come to have regrets about a past decision that was actually in your best interest at the time. The Hermit, reversed, could also turn up for you in reference to a social situation in which you are feeling rather shy or reluctant to participate in but need to just take a chance and open yourself up. This card is encouraging you to be more social, get out there and open yourself up to new people and situations. In reversed position, The Hanged Man may also speak of you being afraid of looking at yourself more objectively out of fear of what you may see or learn about yourself. Lastly, when in reverse, The Hanged Man could be suggesting that you have allowed yourself to become a bit obsessed with someone or something to your own detriment. Also, you may be given to overly restrictive thoughts or a very narrow way of thinking and looking at things. Lighten up.

Tarot Card Draw #3: Six of Cups, reversed

While the Six of Cups upright can signify past efforts bringing forth new rewards, this card in reverse can signify letting go of the past and moving forward towards new beginnings and potential rewards. You have been struggling for quite some time, and now it is time to move forward to the next chapter in life. Being open minded about this shift is key. You want to ensure you are letting go of the dead weight, and not losing something that could be of significant benefit to you later on down the road. Most likely, you need to heal from some kind of past trauma or negative event. This could mean that you have been in a toxic romantic relationship, you have worked in a job that has no future, or you have simply put off some major self-care or improvement. Now it is time to shove aside whatever has been holding you back and start creating a positive change. We are all responsible for our own happiness and wellbeing. We cannot attribute our success to anyone else whether it be our emotional success, financial success, professional success, or any good and positive things we manifest for ourselves. Therefore, when we allow others to hold us back from our true potential, we cannot blame them for our failures. We make our own choices, and we mold our own future. What you allow is what will continue, so it is time to stop allowing it. Break free and remove these negative influences from your life, and you will not only notice a more positive change in your situation, but you will also feel a more positive change in your attitude.
