One of the cards in our daily tarot draw today touches a bit on social isolation and how too much could potentially be quite detrimental to our well-being. Unfortunately, with the current global pandemic, socializing in real-world situations simply is not an option for many of us. Therefore we need to be creative and look into joining a facebook group on a topic or subject that interests us or visiting a chat room. Video dating is rapidly growing in popularity. This is when two people, in their respective homes, each prepare a meal for themselves then eat together while chatting via Zoom, Skype or some other shared video forum.

Tarot Card Draw #1: The Hanged Man
One of the most basic and obvious meanings of The Hanged Man is indecision or being stuck in limbo. If this card turns up for you in a daily tarot draw, it may be indicating that you need to step back and try to remove yourself from the situation in order to look at things more objectively so you can make the best possible decision for yourself. By stepping outside yourself or the situation, things will eventually become more clear to you. This card will turn up if you are facing a dilemma or a tenuous, unsure situation. Another situation that The Hanged Man could be bringing your attention to is one that you are not happy with or is not at all satisfying to you. It is possible you are feeling trapped or stuck in quicksand and unable to change this situation for whatever reason. You may need to simply let go completely and just walk away for your own good. The Hanged Man may also turn to bring your attention to an overly negative or indecisive frame of mind or just a very limited way of thinking. You are not able to see the bigger picture. While seeking counsel, guidance or advice from others may help, ultimately you must act in your own best interest and make the decision for yourself. Take what others say about your situation for what it’s worth and just do what is best for you in the end. It is also possible that The Hanged Man would turn up in your daily draw to bring your attention to a situation that is not working out as you had planned and that some adjustments or changes need to be made. Alternatively, The Hanged Man may be coming up to tell you that you need to stop trying to be so controlling of another person or situation and simply allow things to work out as they will on their own in due time.
Tarot Card Draw #2: The Hermit, reversed
The Hermit falling upright for you frequently indicates the need for time alone to regroup or get some things straight in your mind and/or heart. However, when this card falls in the reversed position in a daily tarot draw, it may be trying to tell you that you are spending too much time alone or in isolation. You need to get back out there are start living your life, slowly beginning to socialize and reintegrate yourself. Too much time alone can be rather damaging to your emotional and/or mental state. Also, while time in self-reflection and taking time to do a reassessment of your life is often a good thing, there must be limitations as too much time in self-reflection could be potentially damaging as well. You may find yourself looking a bit too deeply and are seeing things from a darker perspective causing you to develop a negative outlook. Also, too much time in self-reflection can cloud your judgement and just confuse things as you may fall into the trap of “what if” or come to have regrets about a past decision that was actually in your best interest at the time. The Hermit, reversed, could also turn up for you in reference to a social situation in which you are feeling rather shy or reluctant to participate in but need to just take a chance and open yourself up. This card is encouraging you to be more social, get out there and open yourself up to new people and situations. In reversed position, The Hanged Man may also speak of you being afraid of looking at yourself more objectively out of fear of what you may see or learn about yourself. Lastly, when in reverse, The Hanged Man could be suggesting that you have allowed yourself to become a bit obsessed with someone or something to your own detriment. Also, you may be given to overly restrictive thoughts or a very narrow way of thinking and looking at things. Lighten up.
Tarot Card Draw #3: The Hierophant
The Hierophant may come up in a tarot spread or daily tarot draw speaking of education. It usually indicates formal higher education, but can speak of informal self-study as well or engaging in some self-help work with the assistance of a professional such as a counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist, priest or any other person of the cloth or spiritual advisor. Basically, The Hierophant could be talking about expanding your mind or nurturing your spiritual side as well as mental healing and progression. When talking about a person, The Hierophant could be speaking of a mentor, spiritual advisor or counselor, anyone who could provide you with guidance, advice or wisdom. It could also indicate that you are dealing with a rather rigid person who is quite set in their ways with a limited mindset or who is simply quite close-minded. Alternatively to indicating a person, The Hierophant could also be talking about an institution, organization or group such as any kind of social, political, religious, economic, educational or medical. The Hierophant may also turn up indicating traditional values or ways of thinking as well as the need to act in a more traditional manner. This is not the time to rock the boat, buck tradition or take risky chances. Finally, The Hierophant may come up in a daily tarot draw for you indicating it is time to start creating your own traditions or rituals.
