Tarot Card Draw #1: The Wheel of Fortune
The Wheel of Fortune in your tarot draw indicates good luck, fortune, fate, destiny, or just overall success. You are on the tails of a wonderful gift or some other manifestation of your personal desires. You might win a lottery, have a run in with fate, or receive some news that will jolt you forth into a successful future. In your romantic life, if you are in a relationship, the Wheel of Fortune indicates a time of moving forward. This is open to interpretation based on your own personal feelings and situation. If your relationship is moving along very well, this card indicates an impending jolt forward into a more positive direction. You will soon find yourself taking a new step in your relationship or taking on a new venture with your partner. However, if you are unsatisfied in your relationship, this card might indicate your relationship has fallen apart and it is time to distance yourself and start working on self-improvement. If you are looking for a relationship, the Wheel of Fortune indicates you will soon find yourself meeting the perfect partner. While this person will still have their own flaws and possibly come with their own baggage, they will be an excellent partner for you, and you will be able to work together very well and have a very happy and fulfilling relationship. In your career, you have a big change on the horizon. You might be receiving a promotion or pay raise or starting a successful new business venture. Tarot Card Draw #2: Six of Swords
Looking at the Six of Swords we see a figure standing in a boat as they make passage across a vast sea to a seemingly new land. This person’s arms are crossed over their chest as if in triumph that a turbulent situation is being left behind or in resolve that they are headed into a new, much more positive environment once they have crossed the water. To one side of their boat, the seas are roiling and choppy. On the other side, the sea is calm and inviting. The vast difference indicates choice and control that the person has over their own destiny. Through their crossed arms and forward, determined expression, we see a person taking back control of their own life and destiny, no longer at the mercy of others. The six upright swords indicate their will to fight in an effort to maintain that control and to simply create a better overall situation for themselves. These swords offer security and protection against any ill intentions of others and any threats posed to this person. The structures that appear to be built into the rock face in the distance prove that anything is possible with the right mindset.
Tarot Card Draw #3: Seven of Cups
Depicted on the Seven of Cups is a woman pleading with her higher power, sending up a prayer for something (or someone) she thinks she very much wants or needs. Her higher power is urging her to make a wise choice. I often write about the many choices we each have and that is the primary focus of this card. One of the most important messages being indicated here is to be careful what you wish for. But sometimes simply educating ourselves is not enough to keep us from making the wrong choice. Even here, despite the direction and guidance of her higher power who is literally pointing to the right selection, the woman still stands to make the wrong choice for herself. All too often, we get caught up on instant gratification, especially in today’s age of being able to click a mouse and be talking with someone many thousands of miles away or of receiving your Prime delivery in only 24 hours. This mindset is resulting in some people, usually younger, less experienced persons, having tunnel vision and not looking at the whole bigger picture and the potential ramifications of their choice or any negative effects of getting what they believe to be their heart’s desire (at least in that moment). Another important message of this card is that we should each sometimes thank God for unanswered prayers.
