I recently saw a meme that read, “I’m not turning my clock back an hour on November 1 because no one wants an extra hour of 2020.” Oh, how true that is! I know for many of you, the time actually fell back this past weekend, but I’m in Texas USA where the time changes this coming weekend and I, for one, wholeheartedly agree that this year of 2020 simply needs to come a close, the sooner, the better. One of our cards today offers a glimmer of hope for those fortunate enough to draw it. Do not ignore or squander the message, but rather embrace it. Heed it. Do as it says. Things are going to get better.

Tarot Card Draw #1: The Devil

If The Devil turns up in a tarot spread or daily draw for you, do not allow yourself to automatically go to a dark or hopeless place. While he can signify some negative behaviors and some things that may not be in your best interest, he also has a good side which we will address first. Sometimes The Devil may turn up for you to bring your attention to your own state of depression or possibly a self-destructive addiction. He may also be speaking of a feeling of being trapped, restricted or out of control in any or all areas of your life. Because the Devil is well-known to be a trickster and quite deceptive in many different religions, you may automatically blame any of the above situations on him and think he is doing these things to you in an effort to control you. But in Tarot, The Devil card is quite different from the Devil himself. When dealing with depression, addition or any of the above overly negative situations, you may feel as though outside influences or forces beyond your control are restricting you, leaving you feeling powerless and victimized. However, this is actually an illusion being created by The Devil. You are in complete and total control of your own destiny and are not bound by anything other than your own attitudes, thoughts and behaviors.

When dealing with any of the above negative behaviors or situations, The Devil may turn up to tell you not to give and do not give away your power. You have it well within yourself to make the needed changes to help raise yourself up out of depression, addiction and any other negative and self-destructive situation that you feel may be controlling your and your life. If you find yourself in any other overly negative or abusive situation, or if someone is being overly critical of you or trying to manipulate you in any way, The Devil may turn up for you to tell you that you simply do not have to tolerate it. There are options to help you get out and away from these situations and these people. The way out may not be easy, but it is certainly possible. There is always something positive you can do to improve your situation no matter how hopeless things may seem on the surface. The Devil may also turn up to bring your attention to how you may be treating others. You may be trying to manipulate or control people knowingly or unknowingly. This must stop. When The Devil turns up for you in a daily draw, it could be indicating obsessive, secretive or impulsive behavior. It can be a sign that you are out of control. The Devil may also turn up to bring your attention to the fact that you have allowed yourself to become quite materialistic or obsessed with control and/or power over others. While material possessions and a certain degree of control or power over others may make you feel good for a little while, it will all ultimately turn back on you in that those around you will leave you thus ultimately leaving you alone and isolated with no one in your corner, no one to turn to. The Devil may be trying to tell you it is time to step back and get your priorities in order.

Tarot Card Draw #2: Ten of Wands

Sometimes we find ourselves in over our heads and quite possibly as a result of our own doing or making such as taking on much more than we can handle. The Ten of Wands may turn up for you in a daily draw to bring this to your attention. It may also represent a situation that started off as a good idea but has now become a burden. The Ten of Wands also indicates problems, responsibilities, being overburdened, overloaded and stressed. You may possibly feel as though you have a huge weight on your shoulders or may be feeling obligated, bound and restricted. The Ten of Wands could indicate you are being taken for granted or you may be dealing with some major struggles or challenges. It could be suggesting that you have taken on too much and may be heading for burn out. But on the upside, The Ten of Wands could indicate that the end is within reach. If you just hang in there a little while longer and keep going, you will ultimately achieve success. The Ten of Wands could also signify delays, losing your way, losing your focus and having an uphill struggle. It can indicate that the fun or spontaneity has gone out of your life. Time to change things up.

Tarot Card Draw #3: Ace of Cups

The Ace of Cups is a fantastic card to get in any Tarot reading, but even more so when it turns up in your daily tarot draw. Aces generally indicate the start of something new and this particular Ace is no exception. Upright, The Ace of Cups often indicates something new headed your way in terms of love or happiness. It could herald the beginning of a great new friendship or even a romance, possibly a refreshing restart to an existing love connection. The Ace of Cups also indicates empathy and compassion, both are very good qualities to have. If you haven’t been already, The Ace of Cups may turn up to tell you that you will very soon simply be feeling good about yourself, quite positive and just overall happy. This card may turn up to let you know now is the perfect time to begin to get out and socialize more, start up some new friendships. If you are not physically able to get out and be around other people in real-world situations, then look into some social media groups on topics and subjects that interest you. Just find a way to expand your social circle. This is an excellent time as people will be very receptive, kind and friendly to you so says the Ace of Cups. Lastly, The Ace of Cups in a daily tarot draw may indicate that good news or celebrations will soon be coming your way.
