Tarot Card Draw #1: Nine of Cups, reversed

Quite unfortunately, the Nine of Cups turning up reversed in your daily draw is not a great sign; however, it certainly can be used as a learning tool to bring your attention to a current or potentially negative situation in your life so you can work to move past it or overcome it. Do not allow it to take the wind out of your sails, but rather be inspiration to make some positive changes. Among the key indicators of reversed Nine of Cups are a lack of fulfilment as well as unhappiness or even outright misery. This card is sometimes an omen of looming devastation, but having it turn up for you beforehand allows you time to possibly avoid or at least lessen that devastation. It can speak of shattered dreams or wishes turning to nightmares and it evokes the old saying, “Be careful what you wish for.” You may well get what you are wishing for only to learn it is not at all what you were expecting and in a very negative way. You may be having trouble attaining your goals or feel that you have not attained a higher position or standing which, you thought you should have at this particular stage in your life. It is very possible that you feel you are not being given sufficient praise or recognition for your efforts. Reversed Nine of Cups may turn up in your daily draw to bring your attention to your own pessimistic thoughts and/or words as well as your overly negative behaviors, especially toward others. Alternatively, it is quite possible you have become rather arrogant or are quite immature emotionally. You may be unknowingly struggling with some self-destructive behaviors caused by extreme unhappiness/disappointment or due to a lack of self-esteem or self-worth. Examples of such behaviors would be excessive alcohol consumption, drug use, eating disorders, promiscuity, to name a few. In matters of love, reversed Nine of Cups may indicate you are in an unhealthy relationship or that the person you are longing for would be a terrible fit for you should you get together as they would be incredibly toxic. On a lesser note, it can indicate stagnation and brings your attention to the two of you needing to shake things up a bit. In work or business situations, it is a strong warning that you need to do some more research on what you would be getting yourself into with a job or position you desperately want to secure. It may look good on the surface such as the title and pay, but once you get into that position, it may not be at all what you were expecting. It is also a serious warning of sketchy investment opportunities.

Tarot Card Draw #2: The High Priestess, reversed

Probably the most important meaning of The High Priestess is your own intuition. When this lovely lady falls in the reverse position in your daily draw, she is there to warn that you are not heeding your own intuition. It is possible you are placing more value on what other people around you may feel is the right decision or the correct path to take. Possibly you are more concerned with pleasing someone else to the detriment of ignoring your own better judgement or intuition. Heed what your gut is telling you. The High Priestess may turn up reversed for you if you have been neglecting yourself in favor of caring for others. You have been putting yourself last and your own needs and desires are not being met. It is time for some self-care, maybe even a spa day or a weekend away in the country away from the hustle of everyday life. Consider unplugging for a day; a no-screen day just to refresh and recharge yourself. You need to get back in touch with your core being / inner spirit. The High Priestess, reversed, may also come up to remind you that you have all of the wisdom and knowledge needed within you to make the right choice and succeed. Just be still and listen.

Tarot Card Draw #3: Six of Cups

When the Six of Cups turns up in your daily tarot draw or a general tarot reading, it often is indicative of things from your past such as past loves, past friends, past jobs, anything from the past. This card could indicate reminiscing, reflecting on childhood memories, nostalgia or focusing on the past in general. While looking back in reflection occasionally is not a bad thing, some people tend to get up caught up in their memories and develop a somewhat warped view of their own past or reality. If this is you, the Six of Cups may pop up to snap you back into reality. When this card appears in your daily tarot draw you may be influenced by past events, reminiscing about the past or thinking about someone from your past. The Six of Cups can also represent matters pertaining to children, young people and youthfulness and can represent having children or taking care of or working with them. It can signify simplicity, playfulness, innocence, goodwill and sharing. It can also represent protection and family. If you have been going through a tough time, the Six of Cups may be telling you to take the support available to you from family and close friends. When the Six of Cups appears in a daily draw, it can also indicate that you are being childish or immature.
