There are certain moments where we feel stuck and it happens to the best of us, right? It doesn’t even mean that we are necessarily in a bad situation, but; How many times you have felt that life just didn’t seem to be moving in any direction? While having a period of peace and quiet can be refreshing, and even can be useful to gather up some energies and get direction to pursue our next project, stagnation feels different.
You’re probably familiar with the feeling, the lack of motivation, the sensation of being trapped in one of those films in which the main character lives the same day over and over. It feels like about time to get things moving again! Keep reading the next few tips to change the energies around you and bring change into your life.
1. Have a healthy breakfast
You probably are waking up early enough to start cooking in the morning, but if you change the way in which you start your mornings, the energy for the day will start in a different way. Make an effort to prepare yourself a good, well-thought of breakfast and take the time to eat quietly and seated. This small habit helps you well-grounded, increases your energy levels throughout the day and is a way to start the day feeling relaxed.
2. Make an habit of breaking your routine
Whether it is varying your route to work, having a midday juice instead of a midday coffee or changing the place you usually get lunch at, bringing difference into your life, as small as it might be, will keep you more aware of the environment and this will translate in increased awareness of the opportunities around you. The more you are conscious about the choices that you make, the more you will become aware that you have power over the circumstances.

3. Change your appearance
This doesn’t mean that you have to get a brand new wardrobe or risking an entirely new look. You have probably mastered your hairdo and your make-up and it takes you 15 minutes to get ready and look nice with basically no effort. However, looking the same gets bored and also enhances the feeling of being trapped in a loop. Try natural instead of flat-ironed, or flat-ironed instead of curly, ponytail, a new shade of lipstick or a bold eyeshadow you almost never wear. Change the combinations of your clothes or add some bling-bling! Use what you have in order to create the new and this will translate into bigger things.
4. Be more conscious about your interactions
Perhaps you want one person to behave in a determined way and you are not paying attention to the way you interact with them, or with anyone around you. Sometimes, we are focused on one person or a small group of people and we fail to see how we are taking others for granted. Are you putting an effort in the way you interact with others? You may want to have a date night, or you may be focusing your attention on a crush that is not calling you and this can cause you to refuse meeting your friend for coffee because you don’t feel in the mood. Take advantage of the opportunities instead! You never know where the day may take you.
