Tennis Star Venus Williams Sued For Wrongful Death In Fatal Car Crash

Venus Williams, tennis super star was doing a press conference after her opening match win at Wimbledon and when someone asked her about her car crash last month that left an elderly man dead, she got very emotional and could not continue speaking. Athletes are not immune from real-life mistakes and tennis star Venus Williams now finds herself in the middle of a big one at the moment. Venus Williams flouted numerous traffic laws as she sped through an intersection and caused a crash that resulted in horrendous injuries to a married couple, killing the husband according to a new wrongful death lawsuit. There’s no way Williams had any ill intentions when moving into the intersection but on June 9, Venus entered an intersection in Palm Beach County failing to yield the right of way, blew through a red light, drove too fast while distracted and recklessly created a situation where the accident was unavoidable according to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ Sports. 78-year-old Jerome Barson, a passenger in the car, died 14 days after the accident. Barson’s wife, Linda, who was driving the Hyundai was severely injured. According to the suit, the impact was so severe their car was “crushed, the front windshield shattered, the airbags deployed, there was crush damage to the rear on the driver’s side and the back window was shattered.”

Jerome Barson suffered massive internal bleeding, a fractured spine and massive internal organ damage. He was transported to an ICU unit where he lingered and died June 22. Linda who survived, suffered a cracked sternum and multiple broken bones. According to the suit, the Barsons were married for more than 33 years and Linda watched her husband die on her 68th birthday. The suit seeks unspecified damages for loss of companionship for both Linda and their family, loss of earnings, pain and suffering and medical and funeral expenses. Venus’ rep claims she was only going 5 MPH and entered the intersection on a green light. Venus’ SUV was in the intersection when the Barson’s car T-boned her vehicle. According to the police report, Venus was to blame.

This is just a sad incident for all of those affected. Everyone’s hearts should go out to the family who lost a loved one in this unfortunate accident and Venus having to now forever carry that responsibility.

Venus’s Lawsuit Is A Perfect Example Of How Your Life Can Drastically Change In A Split Second!

Susan Z’s Conclusion:

This is a sad situation indeed for all and regardless of how this lawsuit ends, will not bring a life back or ever leave Venus’s mind or life.

Four of Wands:
This card is change of residence or moving on with the hope of optimism. I feel that Venus is hoping for the best outcome but realizes she is going to have to pay for this mistake and also more than likely move from the area of where the accident took place if close to her residence.

Ten of Cups:
This is a card of emotional dreams coming true. On one hand, Venus has realized all her dreams of success in life but emotionally I believe she feels isolated and alone. This may be one of those harsh life lessons to bring about change to her priorities.

Ace of Pentacles: Inverted (Upside Down)
This card is one of financial wealth and success. Pulled inverted, I believe it shows this lawsuit is going to cost Venus a big part of her personal fortune that was hard earned.
