Vin Diesel Goes on Defensive at Being Labeled “Dead Fish” Kisser by Charlize Theron

A clearly bothered Vin Diesel apparently can’t handle being dissed by Charlize Theron’s as a “dead fish” kisser. Lol! Diesel is clearly a man who wants for nothing. With two blockbuster franchises spitting out new movies this month, he’s officially set for life and then some, but there’s one thing that seems to have evaded his presumably giant-sized grasp: the approval of one Charlize Theron. The two recently starred opposite each other in “The Fate of the Furious” and famously shared an on-screen kiss. The smooch left Theron feeling underwhelmed as the words “dead fish” were used but for some reason Diesel couldn’t stop talking about it on the movie’s press tour. Theron. The 41 year old actress, while making an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this month, laughed and called Vin’s version of events “insane,” adding, “I just don’t get it. He’s literally going around saying that I had the best time of my life. His character is just like frozen, like a dead fish.” When he appeared on DeGeneres’s show and Ellen recounted Theron’s version of events, a very excited Diesel sprung up from his chair to stomp around the stage not once, not twice, but three separate times. Diesel made sure to defend himself by quickly jumping out of his seat, screaming “What!?!, What!?! C’mon, guys… do I look like a dead fish?” His co-star’s comments apparently put the “xXx” actor on the defensive, because he was more than ready to defend his skills. “First of all, you don’t come on ‘Ellen,’ with the wonderful animation of ‘Finding Dory,’ and compare me to a dead fish. Right or wrong?” Likely in fear of a Tom Cruise couch-jumping scenario, DeGeneres had no recourse but to switch gears away from the controversial kiss and show the audience photos of Diesel’s adorable offspring.

Diesel’s version of the screen kiss is a little different than Theron’s with him stating: “I was definitely not complaining,” he told USA TODAY. “Gary shot that every which way but loose and Charlize Theron is not a bad kissing partner to have. There are worse things that can happen to you.” The action star was pretty sure that Theron had a good time as well. “Do I know she enjoyed it? Oh, my God, yeah,” says Diesel. “A kiss cannot lie, lips don’t lie. No, they didn’t. She OWNED it.” Diesel, who has proclaimed Fate of the Furious the best movie ever, believes that kiss is what pushed the trailer over the top after its monster debut in a packed Times Square. Suitably, Diesel has proclaimed the kiss the biggest moment in trailer history. “Since you were a kid, there is no trailer that has ever been viewed as much as the Fast 8 trailer,” says Diesel. “The biggest moment in that trailer is the kiss between Cipher and Dom. How did we get to a place where that is the biggest moment in trailer history? How? The world knows our characters. Something like that becomes the tsunami of your movie.”

Gee, where do we start? Lol!

Why Did Theron’s Version of Her Onscreen Kiss Put Diesel on The Defensive?

Susan Z’s Conclusion:

Two simple words should do it. BIG EGO! Diesel is at the top of his game but apparently not that secure about women.

Eight of Pentacles: Inverted (Upside Down)
This card represents working very hard. Diesel feels he has worked hard to get his success and because the card is inverted, did not expect to be so lightly dismissed by Theron.

Princess of Wands: Inverted
This card represents a person of young energy and also new projects. I believe this card is Theron’s energy about the film. She looks at the film as no Oscar nomination performance, it was just a job and fun for her.

Strength: Inverted
This card represents inner strength. I feel since the card is inverted, it shows Diesel’s weak point despite all his outward strength….it is very important what people think of him. Especially the ladies.
