The Voice winner Jordan Smith ties the knot with Kristen Denny

The Voice winner 22-year-old Jordan Smith has tied the knot with longtime love Kristen Denny. A representative of the singer confirmed that the couple married in Kentucky.

Newlywed Kristen took to Instagram shortly following the nuptials captioning a snap of her and Jordan kissing inside the church and surrounded by loved ones during their nuptials. ‘Best day ever!’ The couple said, ‘We’re beyond excited to announce that we are officially Mr. and Mrs. Smith!’ ‘Our wedding has reminded us that we are just two best friends who realized we’re both the same kind of crazy and fell in love,’ they added.

Shortly after popping the question, the singer shared a photo of his fiance showing off her new engagement ring, which he captioned, ‘RINGING in the new year with my future wife. She said YES! The bride-to-was happy too, posting on Facebook, ‘2016…You’re definitely my favorite. Jordan won the ninth season of The Voice last year, beating out runner-up Emily Ann Roberts.

On a live finale that also featured performances by some of the biggest names in music – including Justin Bieber – he held his hand over his face in shock as he was named the season champion. Following his stunning victory he has been signed up to a contract with Republic Records and since released his album Something Beautiful. He will team up with Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith for a Christmas tour and is set to release a Christmas album.

What do the cards say about the two newlyweds? Well, the Ace of Wands, the Ten of Pentacles, and The Hierophant were drawn. Without a doubt, the Ace of Wands is Jordan’s card, right now he feels truly alive, passionate and creative and will continue on this current upward trajectory. The Ten of Pentacles is Jordan’s public declaration of love to Kristen, she helps to keep Jordan grounded and the emotional security given to him is reciprocated. The Hierophant shows that this new way of life is a learning curve for both of them and although there may be times when they feel conformity is the right way, ultimately, their values, belief systems and traditions will comfort and sustain them moving forward. Right now it’s all good for them and we wish them well!
