Firmly into the last week of August and the first complete week of Zodiac ‘detailed oriented’ earth sign Virgo, which started on Saturday, the 22nd. Virgo loves change, constantly moving and shifting the details of their life with one goal in mind; making their life and yours better! We are also gearing up for the Full Corn Moon in Pisces next week on Wednesday, September 3rd. This Full Moon being in Pisces will be about how you are dealing with your emotional sensitivity in all areas of your life.

Tarot Card Draw #1: The Emperor
Today it looks like you will be dealing with a male figure that has some power over your life (boss, family, partner) who may challenge you on what decisions will be made today. The Emperor is all about knowing their way is the best way. Their energy is mostly centered around being right, being in control and taking care of what or who they believe, belongs to them. Today may be a day that you will have to stand your ground with an Emperor for the first time (or once again). The key to being equal or winning over an Emperor is to not take anything personal. It usually is never really about you but how it is seen from their perspective of what is best for them. This card habitually carries male energy with it but can be both genders. If the Emperor represents you today, maybe pulling this card is just a reminder that occasionally, you are not ‘always right’!
Tarot Card Draw #2: King of Wands
I happen to like the King of Wands as their energy is usually centered around the heart with great caring, compassion and insight of what others needs are. You will be dealing with a male energy of position who you may have to convince to see your side of the story. As most King of Wands are open minded, it probably will not be that difficult a task. The only downside of an encounter with the King of Wands, if a little (or a lot) insecure, they have a tendency of being oversensitive and taking everything to heart and personal. If you have an encounter with a King of Wands today, keep your conversation out of the “You are, you did” and more into the “I am and I see.” You will have less defensive posturing and smoother communication.
Tarot Card Draw #3: Three of Swords (Reversed)
If there ever was a ‘Boo Hoo’ card, this would be it. The Three of Swords is all about melancholy, sadness and feeling a little sorry for one self. Regardless if this emotional state is created by you or under rightful circumstances, it usually represents a full-on pity party. Since pulled reversed, I believe today may be a day where you start coming out of this dark place, resist going into it or given an opportunity to help someone come back to life from their own despair. Whether it is you or someone else, today is about working on letting go of bleak thoughts of despair or fear of the future. Whatever it takes, make that 1 to 5 countdown and not allow the emotions of being miserable or making those around you miserable. It takes strength of character to have courage to know you will make it through the tough times and come out ok in the end. We all certainly have that courage within us and if you can’t find it at the moment, then be pro-active about getting it. Pray, meditate, ask all the powers that be for that courage, listen to uplifting and encouraging tapes, read positive books and most importantly, don’t waste time commiserating with your friends. Misery does love company but helps no-one. Find happy people to hang out with. Happiness is contagious!
