Tarot Card Draw #1: King of Swords, reversed

The King of Swords, reversed, generally indicates a lack of structure, routine, self-discipline, power or authority. When this upside-down gentleman turns up in your daily draw, he warns that you absolutely must use your head and thoroughly think things through. He also signifies that you may be allowing any bit of power to go to your head and that your thought process may be somewhat askew and quite selfish, not to mention extremely demanding with very high expectations of others. Be careful that you do not allow yourself to become power hungry or overly demanding and abusive (mentally, emotionally, physically) of others. It will most definitely come back to bite you on the butt. Whether you are male or female, you need to just relax and get over your power trip. If you are dealing with any kind of legal matters, this reversed authority figure comes up to signify that things are most likely not going in your favor. If you are looking for a new job or possibly a new male romantic interest, be extra cautious when this card turns up as it most likely indicates someone headed your way with a lot of negative intentions and a very selfish overall demeanor. It signals of someone who is power hungry, manipulative and not at all caring or compassionate of others. He probably does not even have a good relationship with his own mother, or the woman tasked with his primary care as a child. As a potential romantic partner, he will most likely be controlling, aggressive, abusive, violent and quite oppressive. Run if you see him coming!

Tarot Card Draw #2: Seven of Cups

Depicted on the Seven of Cups, upright, is a woman pleading with her higher power, sending up a prayer for something (or someone) she thinks she very much wants or needs. Her higher power is urging her to make a wise choice. I often write about the many choices we each have and that is the primary focus of this card. One of the most important messages being indicated here is to be careful what you wish for. But sometimes simply educating ourselves is not enough to keep us from making the wrong choice. Even here, despite the direction and guidance of her higher power who is literally pointing to the right selection, the woman still stands to make the wrong choice for herself. All too often, we get caught up on instant gratification, especially in today’s age of being able to click a mouse and be talking with someone many thousands of miles away or of receiving your Prime delivery in only 24 hours. This mindset is resulting in some people, usually younger, less experienced persons, having tunnel vision and not looking at the whole bigger picture and the potential ramifications of their choice or any negative effects of getting what they believe to be their heart’s desire (at least in that moment). Another important message of this card is that we should each sometimes thank God for unanswered prayers.

Tarot Card Draw #3: The Moon

On The Moon, upright, we see a three-faced woman standing behind a three-headed dog in still water that looks to be about ankle deep. The full moon, shining brightly looks down upon her. With her hands clutched lightly in front of her, she appears calm and trusting were it not for the three faces. With these three faces possibly representing body, mind and spirit, you are encouraged to be more trusting of your spirit (own intuition) at this time as the moon rules the subconscious. Depending upon other factors in your life, the three faces can represent fear of the unknown, anxiety and questions that seem to have no answer. In fact, quite frequently when The Moon appears in a reading, it is indicating that things are not always as they seem. This is why you are encouraged to trust your own intuition rather than your conscious mind at this time. Additionally, The Moon will often also turn up in a reading or daily draw when you are engaging in any kind of deceptive behavior, especially when you may be attempting to portray yourself as anyone other than who you truly are. You may not realize it, but you are not doing a very good job of hiding your true self. When asking about another person, possibly a potential romantic interest, this card comes to you as a warning that there is much deception at hand and to proceed with caution.
