Tarot Card Draw #1: Wheel of Fortune, reversed
Sometimes, bad things happen to good people. All-too-often, we tend to bring some of those bad things on ourselves through our own poor choices. Such is usually the case when the Wheel of Fortune comes up reversed for you in a daily draw or tarot spread. This card quite often warns of negative and trying times ahead, struggles and big changes that are not for the best. The changes will be quite difficult to adjust to and frequently come along after a time when things may have seemed to be going a little too well. Some people call this a reality check and those more in tune with their core being can usually find a way to ultimately turn the negative back into a positive somehow. Take this opportunity to learn from your mistakes and look more objectively at your life and some of the choices you have been making of late. This sudden change of fortune may make you feel you’re losing control and that The Powers That Be are working against you, it is imperative that you do what needs to be done to regain control of your life and yourself. It is time to own your poor choices and the mistakes you have made. Suck it up, admit you were wrong and turn things around. The sooner, the better. Unless you take ownership and try to rectify the situation, you will not learn the lesson the Universe had for you. This is the time to reap your Karmic reward and learn from your own mistakes. This is an opportunity to better yourself. Seize it. Make the best of it. It is the time to move forward into a bigger and better overall situation for yourself. Embrace the change rather than resist it. The bad times are ultimately what make us who we are, especially when faced with future adversity. While the lessons that come with the reversed Wheel of Fortune are usually quite tough, they are the ones that will stick with us the longest.
Tarot Card Draw #2: The Tower
Of the 78 cards in a typical Tarot deck, many persons with a good familiarity of the Tarot consider The Tower the worst to get in a reading. Personally, I see it quite the opposite, but I will get to that in a bit. All-too-often, The Tower speaks of some tragic, deeply traumatic events. Among them could be the death of a loved one, domestic abuse, violent assault or rape. The Tower could signify extremely negative life events such as divorce, miscarriage or stillbirth. It can warn of child abuse, major car accident, sudden loss of a job, overdose. All of these are just to name a few of the very negative indicators behind The Tower. Quite often the chaotic and destructive events heralded by The Tower are sudden and unavoidable. This card may serve as a warning to take extra precautions regarding your safety and/or start acting in a much more responsible manner. If you are one to take chances, especially a gambler, then be warned that a major loss is on the horizon. As I wrote in the beginning, I do not often see The Tower as being so terribly negative because I always look for the positive in even the most negative of situations. Quite frequently, any horrid life event or conditions one must endure as The Tower warns, something good always comes out of it in the end. It may take a while and things may be really, really ugly for some time, but keep in mind that it is always darkest before the dawn.
Tarot Card Draw #3: The Star
One of the absolute best cards to get in a daily draw is The Star. It falls immediately after The Tower in the Major Arcana and its purpose is to restore your faith and optimism after the destructive situations and circumstances of The Tower. It is the calm after the storm and indicates that you weathered the trials and tribulations successfully and have emerged from the other side. The Star brings with it hope for the future. You will now find yourself more motivated with an overall positive feeling and outlook, ready to move forward. At its most basic, The Star speaks of a strong spiritual connection through which you will find yourself feeling quite inspired, at peace and very much in tune with your core being and inner spirit as well as your higher power. The Star indicates the time for healing and that your recent struggles be they mental, emotional, physical or spiritual are now behind you. This card indicates good things lay ahead and that you now have a better sense of yourself and what you are capable of. You can now sit back and breathe a deep sigh of relief taking comfort in the knowledge that your higher power has a plan for you. Embrace the calm and serenity indicated by The Star. Trust yourself. Trust in the plan. Know that much better options and opportunities are in store for you very soon. The Star also speaks of creativity and your more artistic side. You have hidden and untapped talents within you and now is the time to fully explore them.
