New across America today is the outstanding success of the Musical \u201cHamilton\u201d at the 70th<\/sup> Tony awards ceremony. It was in response to Lin-Manuel Miranda\u2019s ground-breaking production of American founding father Alexander Hamilton. This production has already claimed success with a Grammy award for best musical theatre album, and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.\u00a0 The off Broadway production won a Drama Desk Award for outstanding musical in 2015 as well as seven others Drama Desk Awards out of 14 total nominated categories.<\/p>\n It would appear to be going from strength to strength, and its success from the start surely had it in line for the prize without any doubt. Of course the evening was marred with sadness over the horrible events in Orlando with which they took their time to show solidarity with all involved. But they showed that this kind of evil will not kill the American spirit, and will only strengthen their resolve to stay strong in the face of such Evil. In the words of James Corden who presented the Tonys for the first time: \u201cTheatre is a place where every race, creed, sexuality, and gender is equal, embraced and loved.
