Amidst the excitement, my two friends and I decided to visit a palm reader, mostly out of curiosity and for a bit of fun. I didn\u2019t expect much from it\u2014just a few laughs and maybe a spooky story to tell. As we sat down in the dimly lit room, the palm reader took my hand and began her reading.<\/p>\n<p>She studied my palm intently before saying, \u201cI think you\u2019ll be a journalist someday.\u201d I almost laughed out loud. Journalism was the furthest thing from my mind; I had no intention of writing professionally. I brushed off her words as a swing and a miss.<\/p>\n<p>Then she delved into my love life. \u201cThere are two men,\u201d she said. \u201cOne wants to hold on to you, but you want to pull away.
