The focus is on the private grief of a woman forced to endure public scrutiny whilst maintaining a dignified and graceful fa\u00e7ade. It shows the interview that Mrs Kennedy gave to a journalist at that time, as Jackie attempted to secure her husband\u2019s legacy. The film makers wanted to understand and portray the intrigue of the former first lady and what she meant for the country. Portman believed Jackie was incredibly mysterious and surprisingly unknown for a famous person.<\/p>\n
The Hollywood Reporter has called the film \u2018a shattering reflection on loss and legacy.\u2019 The film has already premiered receiving good reviews and Natalie Portman has been nominated in the Best Actress category at the Oscars for this role.<\/p>\n
