\tWe will finally get to see Dumbledore and Grindelwald together of Harry Potter fame. When we last left the world of \u201c Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them,\u201d the Magical Congress of the United States of America was imprisoning Gellert Grindelwald who\u2019d been lurking around disguised as Percival Graves (Colin Farrell). Next year\u2019s \u201c Fantastic Beasts \u201d sequel will pick up months later, after Grindelwald has escaped and begun recruiting Dark Magic disciples. Warner Bros. has finally revealed the plot in conjunction with the start of production. The still-untitled \u201cHarry Potter\u201d spinoff will revolve around a young Dumbledore (Jude Law) recruiting his former student Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to stop one time BFF\/crush Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) from \u201cgathering more followers to his cause and elevating wizards above all non-magical beings.\u201d In a loyalty-testing mission surrounded by \u201can increasingly dangerous and divided wizarding world,\u201d Newt reunites with Tina (Katherine Waterston), her sister Queenie (Alison Sudol) and the non-magical baker Jacob (Dan Fogler).\t<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Moving the action from New York to Paris, the 1920s-set sequel will also feature Credence Barebone, the brooding teenager played by Ezra Miller, whose fate is unknown. Zo\u00eb Kravitz, seen briefly in a photo in \u201c Fantastic Beasts, \u201d is joining the cast as Leta Lestrange who had a close relationship with Newt during their time together at Hogwarts. (Her relationship to Bellatrix Lestrange is unclear) Kevin Guthrie is reprising his role as Magical Congress honcho Abernathy. David Yates, who directed \u201c Fantastic Beasts \u201d and the final four \u201cHarry Potter\u201d movies, is at the reins again working off a screenplay written by J.K. Rowling. (Yates is slated to helm all five installments in the \u201cBeasts\u201d franchise.) Filming is taking place at Leavesden, the Warner Bros. studio complex outside London where all the \u201cPotter\u201d movies were shot. The first Harry Potter spin-off grossed some $814 million for Warner Bros. last year. David Heyman, Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram are producing the film with the creative team all Oscar winners, so it will be a pretty impressive muggle line-up for this new sequel. It would say it\u2019s time to protect your movie-buying funds from those sneaky Nifflers. The next chapter of \u201c Fantastic Beasts \u201d will open in theaters Nov. 16, 2018. \t\t<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
