\n \u201cI wish I was living now as a younger person,\u201d the \u201cView\u201d co-host told People. \u201cI probably wouldn\u2019t have so many mental issues.\u201d The actress got her start in Hollywood at just 3 years old when she landed a role on \u201cThe Cosby Show\u201d and has consistently worked ever since, starring in series like \u201cThat\u2019s So Raven,\u201d as well as launching a successful music career. At every turn, however, she\u2019s faced criticism about her size \u2015 be it pressure to lose or gain weight. In fact, Raven-Symon\u00e9 says people had no qualms about openly body-shaming her when she was younger. \u201c[They said] I was too big to be doing an hour and a half concert. \u2018I don\u2019t know how she can dance being that big.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018I still did it!\u2019\u201d she revealed. \u201cI was on tour forever because it\u2019s not about your size, it\u2019s about what you have to say, if you can sing or dance, and performing. The star has previously opened up about the pressures to fit a certain mold, revealing that not only was she told to diet at the age of 7, but she was also forced to wear a fat suit during the run of ABC Family series \u201cState of Georgia\u201d after she lost weight. Thankfully, a lot has changed since then and Raven-Symon\u00e9 has grown to appreciate the skin she\u2019s in despite the haters. \u201cI love embracing your body,\u201d she said. \u201cIn this day and age, you have all kinds, and it\u2019s funny, it\u2019s serious, it\u2019s every color, it\u2019s every head shape, it\u2019s every hair. And there\u2019s androgyny, and there\u2019s LGBT coming in, and it feels good. We didn\u2019t have it enough last time and I guess that\u2019s what the past is for \u2014 to make sure the present is what it needs to be.\u201d The actress has even made her way back to the Disney Channel in the \u201cThat\u2019s So Raven\u201d reboot titled \u201cRaven\u2019s Home,\u201d which premiered in July, and hopes to inspire a new generation of viewers. \u201cThe world is too big to have one sort of view to show beauty, because then you are literally destroying society,\u201d she continued. \u201cYou are literally destroying it.
