They met on the movie set \u201cStep Up\u201d and have always been willing to share intimate moments of their lives with fans. One of these moments that Tatum shared in a recent interview was how his lame sense of humor hurt Jenna\u2019s feelings and made her cry when he was really trying to set up a romantic scenario for a marriage proposal. Surprise marriage proposals are the stuff dreams are made of to any girl who envisions the romantic setting, ring and down on one knee type of proposal. After all, that only happens to a girl once, right? Well let\u2019s say the first marriage proposal is usually the one you remember the most. Lol!

\nEver since we saw both of them in \u201cStep Up,\u201d Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have been one of those favorite Hollywood couples you just can\u2019t seem to get enough of their cuteness. Part of what makes them so adorable is they never shy away from talking about their relationship, whether that means their sex life, their first night together or just wishing each other a happy anniversary. Tatum shared another intimate story about his relationship with Jenna. This time, about his proposal, which really didn\u2019t go as well as planned. \u201cWhen I proposed to my wife, I did something pretty cruel because I thought she was on to me. I basically told her I never wanted to get married to try to throw her off,\u201d the \u201cLogan Lucky\u201d star told BBC\u2019s Radio One.

\nEven though they first met on the set of “Step Up,” in 2006, they didn’t start dating until after filming wrapped and the rules of their relationship from the start was you are either in it or not, so you can understand why Dewan was really upset with Tatum\u2019s \u201cjoking\u201d revelation. \u201cI told her, \u2018I don\u2019t believe in the institution of marriage and I don\u2019t think I ever want to get married. Ever.\u2019 She basically broke down crying,\u201d Tatum said as he laughed. \u201cI thought, \u2018This is not going well at all,\u2019 so I had to propose to her sooner rather than later.\u201d Luckily for Tatum, all was forgiven after he gave Dewan the ring. The couple married in 2009 in Malibu, California and welcomed a daughter, Everly, in 2013.\n<\/p>\n
I have watched several interviews from both Channing and Jenna on their relationship and the one consistent thread in the appraisal of their relationship is honesty and laughter. So, you can see why in Tatum\u2019s nervousness, he really did a dumb thing with Jenna and almost totally ruined the moment\u2026. well he actually DID ruin his planned moment. Thank God, both of them have a sense of humor about each other.\n<\/p>\n
