While critiquing is usually spoken in a positive, gentle manner. Which way would you prefer?<\/p>\n<p>Everyone has experienced criticism, sadly some more than others. Critics are often products of their childhood environment, whose caretakers put them down for their own good. This behavior usually backfires, making the individual insecure, while thinking they will never be worthy enough. It\u2019s time to stop this harmful pattern.<\/p>\n<h3>Critical Parents<\/h3>\n<p>Some parents have been brought up thinking that criticism is love. Let\u2019s take the example of a mother who berates her daughter about when is she going to find a man to marry and give her grandchildren. This could result in the daughter marrying someone incompatible to get her mother off her back or refusing to find someone out of spite. Instead, do the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Let your mom know that you love her; however, to please stop bringing up this topic.<\/li>\n<li>Tell your mother how her pressuring makes you feels: horrible, lonely, angry, unvalued, or unhappy. <\/li>\n<li>That you prefer to find a man who will be the right husband and father for your child, then just marry anyone to provide her with a grandchild.<\/li>\n<li>If she refuses to respect your boundary or continues to berate you with this topic, present her with this ultimatum \u2013 you will no longer have contact with her.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Love Partner<\/h3>\n<p>A love relationship is supposed to bring you joy, especially in the beginning. Usually your mate will be on their best behavior in the early stages of a relationship, then later on they show their true colors. When your lover puts you down because of your looks or weight, you could tell him or her:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A positive feature of yours. <\/li>\n<li>I\u2019m working on losing weight and would appreciate your support with this.<\/li>\n<li>This is how God made me.<\/li>\n<li>If you don\u2019t like the way I look, find someone else.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Boss<\/h3\nThere\u2019s nothing worse than working with a critical boss, who thinks you can\u2019t do anything right! Work relationships are tricky as this is your livelihood. Here are some actions you can take:\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Observe if your boss\u2019 comments have any merit and create any necessary changes. <\/li>\n<li>Take a deep breath, consider the source, or do silent screams in the toilet stall.<\/li>\n<li>Report your boss\u2019 behavior to his\/her superiors.<\/li>\n<li>Search for a new job.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Spiritual Leader<\/h3>\n<p>I bet this one surprised you, yet I\u2019ve attended so-called spiritual groups whose leaders were negative and critical. If you\u2019re involved in a group with a critical leader, you could:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go within to ponder if the leader\u2019s behavior is reflecting your own or a loved one\u2019s behavior.<\/li>\n<li>Take what\u2019s valuable from the group and leave the negative behind.<\/li>\n<li>Confront the leader on his\/her criticism.<\/li>\n<li>Leave the group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"readingbox\">\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Pamela&#8217;s Verdict<\/h2>\n<p>My wish is that you stop accepting critical behavior.
